I have a bad stomach ache, and somewhere I heard that 7-up and sprite and stuff like that help stomach aches, is that true?

Sprite does help somewhat, I think the carbonation settles the stomach somehow.  But I've always preferred blue Gatorade.  It works like magic for me.   ^_^

It's specifically ginger ale that helps, not 7-up.

Actually, it's ginger in general.  So, gingersnaps, candied ginger, ginger tea... anything with a lot of ginger.

Still I shouldn't have given you advice that I wasn't sure of.  So... sorry.

I would have said the same thing about 7-Up. When I fell that sick I drank that, and it worked decent. Maybe it depends on the person.

Maybe you just have a stomach virus and drinking anything wouldn't really do much, you should still drink ginger ale a bit to settle your stomach and eat fiberous foods and check for other symptoms like fevers or something.

when you have a dodgy stomach, the best thing for you to drink by far is still water. and don't drink much of it at once either.

i can't think of anything worse to drink than carbonated soft-drink.

Actually ginger has nutrients in it that help settle your stomach, so ginger ale is the best. Though it's much more effective if it's flat, wont cause things to get worse.
