Technically it's described as the kawaii term for vore (think carnivore or herbivore) which means to chew, bite or eat someone that replaced vore and the subsequential naw (like maw) from nawwing its also similar to omnomnom sound of eating when ravenous and a loud sharp swallow sound. Depends who you ask, nom can also be short for nominates. But naw + omnom = nom which means to naw or omnomnom.
