I dunno. I'm a little skeptical on ghosts, but I've had some unnerving things happen at my parents' house on their land. Apparently, our house is built on some Indian burial ground, and I've also managed to find a chunk of a headstone in the woods while I was just walking around.
Sometimes late in the night / early in the morning like at 10pm - 5am? you can hear drums being played, but when you go outside, there's nothing there. We used to mistake it for hammering, but then it happened a lot and we'd go outside and it would be silent. My mom didn't believe me until she heard it, too.
Then there was another time when I was younger, I woke up in the middle of the night and heard a crashing noise.. It sounded like someone taking down our wall it was so loud. I told my dad about it, and he didn't believe me until one night it happened again while he was up, too. When we investigated, again there was nothing.
Lastly, I think my grandmother visited me after she died because I was watching the Shining in my parents' living room (my grandmother lived within short walking distance of my parents' house) and on her favorite part, my dog who has never in his life been skiddish flipped out, his hair standing on end, staring at the spot on the couch beside me. He didn't bark or anything, but looked terrified, and after a while, he ran off and hid... He would peek over at me and wouldn't break his gaze from that one spot and wouldn't come to me when I called him. It was weird. I think she's still up at her house and on our land.
