Rasha shook, and her face twisted into a burning scowl, as she snapped her beak. She stormed to the open window, slamming it shut, making the glass shudder. She turned to her soldier, breathing hard staring with blades of shimmering fire.
"Are we that open?!" She yelled, her voice commanding silence. "Are our defences like milk to these monsters? Are we so transparent that they can walk into my bedroom untested!?" Her chest rose and fell with violence in her heart. "Double the guard, and call the lords for a meeting. We have lived for three thousand years. We will not fall now! Not to any foe." She stood exhausted, and thoughts could be seen crawling in her mind like black worms.
She turned to her feline guards, and walked past them into the drawing."Kha'mal, Kha'lin, come in here, we need to talk."
