Suddenly a Battle Cruiser and two more frigates warped not long away from the scene, the first thing they see being a ship charging at some frigates.  Frundish Crecs, being confused on who was who in this situation, told the Captain to shut down all power temporarily (including his two Arkitry).

"What now, sir?", asked the Captain of the Genesis.
"We wait until the battle is over.  We've no idea who's friendly or not, and trying to make friends in a battle scene could be suicidal, as we could make a mistake and side with the one whom only immediately requires our aid.  Therefore, we shall wait.", replied Frundish.  Right now he couldn't risk anything, as it would take Jewrnin too long to reinforce the situation if anything went wrong.

"Power up relay and communications, in case they wish to contact us first." Frundish said after a few moments of thought.  The only thing heard afterwards was a quick, "Yes sir!" and further commands to power up designated controls of the ship.

There was static over the radio as Icarus 9's radio operator struggled to get a hold of their back up. Suddenly a voice crackled through the speaker and the shelling that continued to bomb the pirate's ships had suddenly intesified. The shells were coming from someone else. The voice over the radio had become clear. "This is Captain Crow of Icarus 4 here to assist, let's give em' hell, Commander." -ksssshhhhhh-

A smile crossed over Morgan's face. In the distance, a large White Star had entered the battle, guns blazing and cannons booming. The small airspace had quickly become a battlefield as the Icarus fleet was dishing it out. Soon, Icarus 7 would be at their side and this would soon be over.

"Khe'val are strong, Khe'val are mighty... Khe'val are loyal..."
-Ne'laah, merchant and poet of the Khe'val regime  30,100Anum

The first of the stingray ships was blown into smithereens, blasted into oblivion by a fusillade of explosive rounds. The second veered sharply, diving quickly below the firing arc of the Kha'van'saar only to be cut to ribbons by the combined fire of the Icarus fleet. Around the Khe'val ship explosions rocked and boomed, buffeting the bronze armoured ship like a fly in a whirlwind.

At the bridge, Captain Hes'tel was flung back into her chair for the third time, swearing loudly "Kha'vrack! Operator, call those ships now and get them to plot their firing lanes more carefully!" The Khe'val ship rocked again, alien metal groaning under the strain as all around pirate ships burst into flames and shards of steel. Several shells impacted directly on the ship's hull, blasts blowing great chunks out of the armour. Flames poured out of a breach in the Kha'van'saars flank, smoke billowing out into the vacuum of space as explosions continued to rip through the pirates and everything else in the near vicinity...

---Ksssssh---- "This is the Kha'van'saar!... Requesting the Icarus fleet that they -Kzzzzzz- This is the -Kzzzzz- Requesting -Kzzzzzz- Do you copy?!" With each explosion that bloomed around the Khe'val ship, the message buzzed and flickered, static crackling through the Icarus radio...

It was decided to avoid confrontation with the royal Presidents...they cut right to the heart of the matter with their claims that they did not know how to properly fight a battle...so the military took action into their own hands. No, they were not going to surround the N and blow it to smithereins. The populace would obviously begin to wonder about a government so desperate to by-pass trouble that they'd blow up their own people. Rather, they would simply employ some of their best ships...five Aroro and twenty Hafiretu, escorted by two Itixenur ready to sneak into the N and unload troops prepared to take silent action on the inside of things.

It didnt seem like too difficult of a task to smash a few pirates...

So, ready and willing, all twenty-seven ships departed in the co-ordinated direction of the N's last transmission.

A small fleet (200 ships...yeah, thats their small) of civilian ships found themselves off course on the way to the newly conquered planet.  Having lost contact with the main fleet, they send out a vuraxin probe to see what lies nearby.

The ships found themselves in a small galaxy, with two planets unsuitable for colonization, and a still functioning, but seemingly deserted space station. the space station seemed to be a large oval shape with a two rings surrounding it, presumed to be defense arrays.

The pirates were fighting a losing battle, all the ships concentrated their firepower on the Icarus ships in a last ditch attempt to cause as much harm as possible.

(Sasha i need a post from your ppl physically getting to the ship and stuff, then the battle can begin)

While the radio crackled on the operator's table, Morgan looked out the window on the bridge as the pirates began to concentrate their fire at them. It was a bad decision and Morgan and Crow knew it. "Commander, the XHR-01R defences are a go! I repeat, defences are a go." A voice called through the radio from the engine room. Morgan didn't have to do anything and neither did Crow. As the small ships fired the weapons, Morgan watched as the ion projectiles slowed to a stop against a nearly invisible force field. They did not move; However, Morgan simply watched as the ammount of projectiles rapidly accumulated along Icarus 9's massive hull. Finally the Commander gave a nod to his radio operator and within moments, something magical had happened. It was as if the force field around Icarus 9 and 4 had exploded into a massive reverse charge, sending all enemy ion projectiles back to their senders. The small ships were destroyed in a matter of seconds. The battle had been won.

There was static over the reciever from the Kha'van'saar but it was nothing anyone could make out. "Operator! Send out a message to their ship. Tell them to prepare for a boarding and report back to base." The operator nodded and turned back to the radio. "This is Icarus 9, requesting that you open your bay doors immediately and prepare for boarding. Do you copy? Over."

With the probe's information the Dauntran civilians plotted a course for the abandoned station, curious as to what'd they find.

Back on Dauntra, the Maw gave the fleet's disappearance very little thought.  The Maw had other things on its mind.  The neighboring civilizations were in turmoil for reasons yet to be discovered, and that worried the Maw.  The Tongue called for order as the meeting began.  There were many accusations that the other civilizations were at war with some unknown, while others said that they were fighting with one another.  Lack of diplomacy with their neighbors had left them in the dark as to the goings on around them.

One of the Teeth motioned for an alliance with a larger civilization, if only so that they'd be informed when anything strange happened.  This idea spread through the Maw like a wild-fire.  Only one problem arose...

...who would they ally themselves with?

The Kha'van'saar continued to limp forwards, smoke pouring out the numerous scars in it's bronze hull. Finally the engines cut out, and the ship slowed to a listing stop.

In the bridge of the ship Hes'tel frowned, looking to her operator "Repeat the last message..."  The operator nodded, flicking through his touch screen, while holding a hand to a bleeding wound across his chest "They are speaking galactic basic... But with some strange inflections on the vowels.... I do believe they are demanding we open bay doors and allow our ship to be boarded sir..."

Hes'tels frown deepened as she looked across her meagre crew. There where only four in all, herself, operator, pilot and gunner. Two of them where wounded, and their ship would barely be able to limp home as it was... There where times when having a larger crew was usefull, but the ship had been designed for service with as few crewmen as possible... She sighed, falling back into her seat "Reply with the affirmative... We are at their mercy now..."

-Kssh "This is the Kha'van'saar, powering down weapons and opening the cargo bay... We also request permission to dispatch service drones from the bay, to begin work on repairing our hull..."

"Restart the engines.  Power up everything required.  Send a message to both of those ships saying congrats for winning such a fine battle.  Also, tell them we've been watching for a little while.  I'm going down to my quarters as there is most likely going to be a meeting as it seems one wishes to board the other.", Frundish said as he left the Bridge and proceeded to his quarters to get into his "fancy" clothes.  Frundish was very impressed with these newcomer's technology.  He was curious to understand how it worked, and possibly implement it into his own systems.  Frundish was not looking for a battle to be fought, but simply finding one what he's been fighting his whole life.

Frundish quietly cursed and praised the Reuqon for surviving their near extinction by the hands of the Genisi, for if they haven't, he wouldn't be there.  The next thought that entered his mind was which of these races were the descendants of the Reuqon, if they were.  Perhaps the ship with the advanced defensive systems, or the one that had nearly been destroyed in combat.  Possibly even the raiders that attacked the ship.  So many questions flowed through his mind.

As the fleet came to reclaim the Naurline jumped in system, their lage size made the raiders detect them almost immediately, with longswords and Stingray ships closing in on an intercept vector fast. New prey had arrived.

The massive freighter continued to be loaded with goodies

The message was recieved from the Kha'van'saar. Morgan took hold of the radio. "This is Commander Morgan of Icarus 9. Request granted please prepare for docking as we will be boarding shortly. Over." -Kssshhhht- Morgan handed the radio back to the operator and turned to leave the bridge for the cargo bay. Suddenly there was cracking over the radio. The radio reciever listened for a moment through the receiever. "Sir...It's a congradulatory message from an unknown ship off our radar." Morgan stopped at stared at the radio receiver. The commander was just as confused as the operator was as his mouth hung open. "Tell Icarus 4 to look into it. Tell Captain Crow to keep a watchful eye out for us." With that, Morgan left his post for the cargo bays.

Morgan made his way down into the bottom of Icarus 9. It was like a giant storage facility were hundreds of men worked on tanks, light assault vehicles and weapons. Wraths in the Icarus fleet were usually used for this kind of transport. His men, armed to the teeth, awaited Morgans personal appearance in the loading bay. There was suddenly a loud shudder about the ship. Icarus 9 had attached itself the damaged hull of the Kah'van'saar and Icarus 9's bays were awaiting opening.

Morgan and his men had to wear suits of armour that protected them from the vaccum of space as well as the lethality of common bullets. The helmets on the suits however made it very difficult to distiguish the identity of its wearer but Morgan's name plate was easily spotted next to the gold stars indicating his rank. It took him some time to get into but policy was policy. He walked down into the bay were his men saluted him in greeting. The bay doors of the Icarus 9 had already been opened and the bay of the Kha'van'saar was already populated with Morgan's men but not that of the Kha'van'saar itself. Morgan found this to be an odd sight. As he made his way onto the cargo bays he looked up to see the drones working away on the damaged hull. He continued onto the platform. Slowly but surely, he approached the door to the Kha'van'saar and his men stepped in front of him. One of them knocked against the heavy plated metal as one would do casually on the doorstep of a friend. Tension was high, his men were at the ready with weapons all aimed at the door. Morgan held his breath. It was a moment of truth.

The bronze hull resounded with the heavy knock, echoing loudly. A single section of the golden armour slid away with a smooth hiss, sliding down and outward like a ramp. The open doorway revealed corridors of similar bronze metal, lit by soft light that seemed to emanate from the ceiling itself.

Only five figures stepped down the ramp, clad in armoured suits of the same dull-bronze metal, made up of complex interlocking plates that slid over and under each other smoothly. They all wore helmets with no visible visor, merely a single blue sensor-strip that glowed softly. None of them carried visible weapons, as the lead figure stopped a few metres from the nearest of the Icarus' men.  The lead figure glanced across at the other Khe'val beside her and there was a brief nodding of the head , the only visible or audible sign of conversation between the two. The second figure nodded once more, and all five depressed a small switch in their armoured wrist. The helmets slid back, sections of bronze metal sliding over each other and into a hidden compartment in the back of their suits.

Four of the five creatures where obviously female, with charcoal-grey furred skin and horns that swept back from just behind their long ears, almost to the back of their necks.  The fifth was male, slightly shorter than the others and with smaller horns, a strip of white material covered a bleeding gash across his forehead. Hes'tel, still standing at the front of her small crew looked across at Morgan, bright amber eyes watching. Her horns where the longest of her crew, denoting her rank, and her dark hair was braided back into a long plait. She fell to one armoured knee, as did the other four behind her, tilting her head down and baring her curved horns in a Khe'val gesture of utmost respect...

She spoke, in a soft voice that was laced with authority and steel resolve "We... Are the Khe'val...."

The two soldiers behind Morgan looked at eachother then back at the Khe'val. Morgan only took one step closer to the Hes'tel, looking down at her alien figure. He could tell the majority of them were female. Morgan was taking a massive risk but he raised his arms up to his head and places them on the locks of his helmet. He twisted once then again in the other direction before pulling his helmet off and holding it at his side, revealing his face. His left eye wore a metal patch under which a large scar had cut through his face from his cheek to his pointy ear. He was a man in his middle age as one could tell by his white hairs mixed in with his red fur who'd seen his share of battle. His golden right eye stared at the alien crew with interest and curiosity. His nose twitched at the end of his muzzel.

He extended his free hand in greeting. "I am Commander Morgan of Icarus 9. We are the Divari. Pleased to meet your aquiantance."

Morgan's men hadn't moved a muscle. Their weapons still at the ready, they awaited for the "all clear" signal from their commander. "I invite you to come aboard my ship to discuss the events that had just occured here. I believe you owe it to us." Morgan said as politely as a man in his position could be.

Hes'tel and her crew stood up again, all watching Morgan with curiosity. Hes'tel cocked her head to one side, studying Morgan's features closely as she took another cautious step closer. She glanced down at the proffered hand, and then back up again. She nodded, reaching out ignoring his hand, instead clasping his forearm with a strong grip "As I am pleased to be meeting you... I am Hes'tel, Captain of the Kha'van'saar..."

The four Khe'val behind her shifted where they stood, apparently uneasy. Hes'tel ignored them, instead keeping her gaze locked with Morgan's "Indeed, we owe you and your crews... I accept the invitation with much open arms..." She finally glanced back over her shoulder, at the operator of her crew. He had winced at her somewhat clumsy phrasing in galactic basic, but otherwise nodded to his superior...

The ships heading in on a route of interception were detected within seconds. Now it seemed both knew about the other. The command was given to spread out quickly. The five Arono were instructed to dive down. The others were instructed to attempt to encircle the enemy. As soon as possible, they would open fire, which involved, luckily for them, a heavy dosage of anti-matter to thrawrt the pirate's perception. If it worked, a slip in time would be projected using one of the said cannons. The enemies rushing twoards them would come across an invisible black hole, and, after entering, would end up behind everyone, including the Sanctum's fleet. Hopefully, they would be going too fast to detect it in time.

Then the Arono would swarm the Nuarline and what was around it, and the Hafiretu would simply turn around, reversing roles with the pirates.

Thank God they had brought along some of the more powerful Cyigotha soldiers. Even if the pirates evaded the black hole plan (the simplest plan to come up with)...it would still be a cakewalk to eliminate them with the Cyigotha aboard, tethered down and ready to do as they were told.
