I fluked something in physics today.
My teacher was writing up problems on the whiteboard for us to solve, I had no idea how to do this particular one so I thought I would just have a go and see how it's done when he writes the answer up.
I scribbled down a couple of equations in about a minute.
It was uh.. find out how high you would have to drop a coin off a building so that it's final velocity when it hit the ground was 100 m/s. So I went and did t=Vf/a (time = final velocity divided by acceleration, which was 9.81m/s/s) and then did d=(1/2)x9.81x10.19^2 = 509.31m
IT. WAS. RIGHT. Oh my gawd. I flipped a brick.
