The only time I rode a train was at a railway museum with my mate and dad, and it was a restored 1940-50's one that went a short distance. This morning, I will be riding a modern train from western Missouri to northern Illinois by myself. I think trains are pretty cool, so this is exciting for me.
When I arrive in Illinois, there is a nice, stable house I can live in myself. I'm unable to drive, but luckily some things are within walking distance, and there are city buses to hop on to get to where ever else. I used to be nervous about public transportation, but after riding the Greyhound bus so far from home, I'm not too worried anymore. Plus, I have a new furry friend who lives close by, so we can hang out. He is unable to drive as well and depends entirely on walking, biking, and riding buses to get around the city. He is extremely knowledgeable of the area and can give me a tour.
