Been volunteering at the local hospital helping some developmentally disabled kids at this summer camp the hospital has. It's kinda stressful and difficult but it's the first time in my life I've felt useful.

I've discovered a new type of hilariousness: German censorship. In Germany, you can't have video games where you shoot people, and the games can't have blood or gore effects. Valve still wanted to publish TF2 there, so they just made a Germanized version of TF2 where the gore is taken out and replaced with stuff like rubber ducks, food, scrap metal, toys, and other ridiculous things.

It's not glaringly obvious in the previews because it was pre-rendered, but you can see the difference here. The blood was replaced with oil, and whenever they could, they pasted scrap metal over the gore:

The whole "German TF2" thing was made long before MVM; it was made alongside the original game if I'm not mistaken. Doesn't make it not funny. I want to try it, but you actually need to be on the German version of Steam, and therefore the game, for it to do that.

Had a fun day at my towns festival.

I showed my grandma some pics from my apartment earlier (she's never been there) and suddenly a picture of me wearing Muiri (My purple cheetah fursuit head) shows up.
She asks me what that was and I give her the "It's a random hobby I have"-explanation and then I proceeded to show a few more pics, as well as a couple vids from NFC.
She became incredibly happy that I've finally found a hobby that suits me and that allows me to meet and interact with other people.

I'm starting to consider branching out from NaNoWriMo for BETA readers, but I'm not sure where to start. I wouldn't mind getting a BETA reader from here, but... I kind of want at least one non-furry to BETA read my book.

Man, there's just those times where similarities never seem to stop between individuals. But as I go along, one of my new friends has some insane similarities. It's pretty awesome to get to know someone with so much to empathize about. I mean hell, not only does he live in a town I spent quite some time growing up in, he also had the same kind of experience with the exact same person at different points. And that's just the tip of things. It's beyond awesome because it certainly gives a lot to talk about and makes helping him out when he needs it all the more simple and likely to succeed.

And on top of that, I've made two new friends/awesome acquaintances in the past three days. One from here who does awesome detail for RP and works a job I'm all too familiar with,  while another is an active recruit in the air force and has one hell of an awesome conversational (and educational, therein) skill.

Been a very fruitful week for social endeavors. c:
