DI Drake sat in the Cortina out front the station with his head in his hands. This was going to be quite the day, Vic Tyler admitted that he knew that the victim in question had criminal contacts. But he fervently denied that he was involved with the Mortons. Drake was the one who suggested that Vic get "in" with the Morton gang for them so that he could find out if they were the ones behind this murder. The guv didn't like it, sending an "innocent" man in to spy on a dangerous gang for them. But Vic was their best shot. Drake got out of the car and burst into CID, there was a container of vodka with his name on it. Tonight was going to be Vic's first foray into the Morton gang.

Jumps as she was spoken to before turning round "Its Fine, Its the DCI you should be careful of" she gave a small giggle before pouring herself a fresh hot cup of coffee and going to sit at her desk to sort her own paper work out before doing research on the John Doe found earlier.

DI Drake walked up to DC Valentine's desk and laid out some radio equipment. "Valentine" he said, "I need you at some point today to head down to the Tyler house and put this bug on Vic, he's gonna be our one contact to the Mortons" Drake turned to his new DC, "Jones! Where have you been? Bloody hell, it's already past brekky! Don't you have something that needs to be done?"

He walked over to her desk. "Oh, did I miss something important?" He asked her as he as he passed her some paperwork he had filled out for her. Nothing important, just usual stuff, just needed her signature.

DCI Fox burst into the room, slamming the door on his way in ''DC Jones, You're late!'' DCI Fox went over to DC Jones' desk and slammed his hands down on it ''Next time ANYONE is late i will 'ave your badges'' DCI Fox then went over to the nervous DI Drake and said ''What do we know so far, Sherlock? if that lead doesn't work out for ya try the butler'' DCI Fox laughed and went back into his office, a few seconds later a coffee cup randomly flew out of the room and onto the floor ''I hate coffee'' DCI Fox said before slamming the door.

He looked at the others then back down at the coffee. "I didn't get him coffee. I knew he didn't like it yesterday when I gave it to him and he gave me a look that my grandchildren will shiver over." He said as he looked down at the cup before turning to the others. "So, what do we know?"

"finally......everyone i could find is on their way to the station for questioning from the boss." max said walking back into the station. "so anything else before i get back.......to...my.....paperwork? where did all my paperwork go?" he said getting to his desk.

"nothing yet sir, but most of the people you wanted are on their way the rest skipped town within the last week. and as for DC Jones, i had him run an errand earlier and his car broke down on his way back. his lateness was my fault, sir." max said standing in front of DCI Fox.

DCI Fox put on his long brown overcoat and said ''Get some officers to seal all getaway routes, no one else escapes..got it'' DCI Fox then walked for the door but turned around and said ''And put the drugy's you rounded up into the interrogation room''

DCI Fox stops dead in his tracks and turned to Drake ''Well in that case'' Crevan said with a spring in his step ''Send him in and let's get some lunch, by which i mean lets go to the pub''
