Every new development or invention is used for selfish things!! Phones are used for prank calls, the net is used for unspeakable illegal things, facebook is used to threaten, stalk and scare people, planes are used for terrorism, and whoever invented bombs was an idiot.. Its the way of the world! Hopefully by the time we get such new advances, the world will have grown up and stopped being so negatively selfish! I think that's called wishful thinking thought "/

I've tried, and failed. Then in my anger I bent the spoon with my hands instead.
Am I back? Quite possibly.

Nobel invented modern explosives(Yes, NOBEL PEACE PRIZE, Nobel). Hypocrite.

And telekinesis... Hell, modern science has proven that each individual is made up of two persons (The left and Right hemispheres act seperately, essentially being a differen personality, your dominant half makes the decisions, and is 'you', whilst the submissive hemisphere is a 'non-you', essentially. It generally reacts by orders given via links to the dominant hemisphere) This leads us to believe that the human mind is much more capable than previously thought. Telekinesis? Unlikely. More power over the self? Quite possibly.

Oh! And that thing about only using 5% of the human brain... Its a farce. The actual statistic is the human brain using roughly 3-6% for memory, and memory only.

Can you bend a spoon into strange twisty shapes like http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/c/cd/RandiFork.jpg/220px-RandiFork.jpg ? That apparently is a for of being a psychic :P

.thinks about rant he made earlier... so counts*

I do believe anything is possible, I mean gravity, explain gravity, I mean actually explain what gravity is, how its caused and everything. So insted of just shooting down ideas, simply state your oppsite side. I mean, you could say it is impossible for a person to glow, but that's incorrect, and I'm not talking about using paint or eating some kind of special thing either. You could tell me that it is impossible for someone to shoot fire from there hands, but yet again, that is in correct, it is more then possible, not saying its easy, but it is possible. The only thing that is impossible, is the possibility, of nothing being possible.

Interesting philosophy, there, and true nontheless.

In that respect, we should judge things by likelyhood, too which telekenisis (the subject of the thread) seems very distant.

I pointed my hand at a pair of pants hanging off the end of a chair concentrating on it trying to make it come to me just to test some telekinesis... the pant leg started swinging.

no pant leg just goes from dead still to moving an inch back and forth in still air on its own.

We never open up the windows here... my door was closed, every fan is off, the heating was off, just nothing there that would make such a thing JUST happen like that.  Admittedly, some people tried experimenting with extreme electromagnetic fields, and stuff that wasnt even magnetic would fly around, but only as long as a creature with a brain was inside.
