Hidden in Shadows

[Nrein]

"I remember when they finally finished the labs," Nic said. "My dad helped with the project, though he was against it. Said that it would bring jobs, but take up a lot of land that could've been used for homes. Not to mention, the smoke isn't a great sight to see when you wake up. My old man was actually helping them with an experiment, before he died. Made a lot of money off of it, and they tried to get me on board with it afterword. But, I don't really want anything to do with it."

[Sol]

Sol, quite taken back says, "wow, that cant be good. know anything about what they were doing?" Sol realised that this town was His kind of, "Normal."
Class ended and the bell rang, When suddenly...
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" (<--girly scream)
Was muffled through the door.
"WHAT THE?" the group of four jumped back as the scream caught them off guard.

[Nrein]

Nic, sounding somewhat startled says, "As much as I would like to keep talking about this, I think it's for another time. We'd better check on what's going on."
Without grabbing his pack, he fast-walked out of the room, almost forgetting to give his best wishes to Mr.Ross. "Come on guys," he said, looking back at the other three.

[serpington]

max just got up and grabbed Nic's things aswel as his own. "even so we better check on it. remember the luminescent spiders?" he said with a serious look to his face before following Nic out of the room.

[Sol]

"luminescent spiders?" he thought, "ok really WHAT IS GOING ON???"
Picking his things up and following the others they made their way out into the hallway. Crowded with chaos and confusion the nudged their way to the front of the pack. "What The?!?" exclamed Sol.
Looking down from the astonished faces he saw what appeared to be a trail, of what he could not say, but its color was hinted with maroon.

[Sol]

Sol was freaking out right now. Blood? What, was someone killed on my first day? "should we follow it?" He asked the group of uneasy furs.

[Nrein]

Nic was paying attention to everyone throughout the chaos, and stood in the middle of the pack and rose his voice, "Listen up everyone, get to your classes, there's nothing else to be bothering with here."
He ushered out everyone that tried to remain, minus the three of his friends. "Of course I pick the one senior-skip day to actually show up to school... come on, follow me."
He slowly started following the trail, pulling out his small knife. "Better be safe then sorry, eh?"

[Sol]

knives, sol thought, should i tell him its a waste? nah i dont wanna seem like a freak. "alright then lets go"
they begin to follow the trail which seems to lead to the entrance of the school
*what sounds like papers, shuffle*
"Hm?..." Sol glanced backwards, expecting to hear another scream. No sound could be heard, so they continued along the trail.
All still on edge and tense.

(after this plays out im gonna time warp to the next day)

[serpington]

"and to think you thought it was going to be nothing." serp whispered to Nina. he walked behind the group following the trail of blood. "and sol, i thought you would have asked about the spiders by now." he commented trying to release some of the tension of the moment.

[Sol]

"When you come from Crane you learn not to ask questions." Said sol, "but i mean really, is this stuff considered normal here?"
They followed the trail out of the school leading to the edge of the town. The trail entered the woods, "wait, what is that?" a figure stood seemingly in the shadows. "Hey you! Come here!" Sol shouted as he began to chase the creature.

[serpington]

"once you see a clear spider that changes from fluresent color to fluresent color when in the dark, not much suprises you. if you want you can see some later, i kept a few as pets." he said just before sol saw the figure in the dark. he walked closer to get a better look.

[Nrein]

Nic was following right behind Sol, blindly since he didn't exactly catch a glimpse of what he saw.

[Sol]

They emerged into the clearing where the trail ended.
"OH MY GOD" shouted Sol, as he looked upon in horror at the sight before him.
Blood was every where and he was more terrifyed then he had ever been.


(hey you guys decide what it is Body, bones, evil thing, etc.)

[Sol]

And in the middle of the blood filled pile was a hand, still bleeding from the inside.
(furry jesus-->) "Jebus christ!" shouted sol, terrified out of his mind.
Then, he saw it again. the creature was moving behind the trees, drawing
closer
and closer
it began to mesmarise Sol into a daze he was losing control of his mind, and then it stopped.
It was on Nick!

[Nrein]

Nic, while stumbling around, clawed at the creature, trying to lose it.
"What in the heck is this thing?!" he yelled, grabbing hold of it and trying to rip it off.
"Can someone give me a paw with this thing!?"
