Nic fell to the ground, seeming to of been practically stunned by the creature being attacked while on him, laying there almost motionless.
He then sat himself up and pushed himself away from what ever it was that had attacked him. "Um, guys. I feel kind of, odd now..."

"Oh, I have a plan for this..." As Nic was speaking, a beeping came from his pocket. He pulled out his phone and read to himself a message.
"Um... well now, that changes everything." He placed the phone back in his pocket, and adjusted himself. "Look, I gotta get going, as much as I'd like to figure out what exactly this thing is. If you guys find anything out, I'll be at my place. Oh, and I won't be in school tomorrow, taking a "sick day"." He proceeded to walk off, giving a short wave goodbye, but still giving a glance to whatever it was that had attacked him.

A tiny feral silver and black fennecat raced through the trees, her heart pounding.
"Kiagre!" she called at the top of her lungs. There was no answer. She kept running, her oversized ears flattened to her skull. Suddenly an awful gut-wrenching smell filled her nose, and she slid to a stop. She was at the edge of a clearing. She spotted two furs, a pile of bones on a pool of blood, and a creature she'd never seen before which seemed to be unconscious. Her eyes fastened on the gruesome hand on top of the pile, and she nearly threw up.
