Serious RP help

I've been looking  at the serious RP board for a bit and I thought I'd like to join a RP next time one becomes available.

If anyone could give me some tips on RPing I would greatly apreciate it.

best tip I can give you is to pretend you are the character. Look at the situation through their eyes and react accordingly. For example, my character's mom died in an rp. My character is a wimp and slightly crazy. I wanted to maim the goons who killed her, but my character just wanted to keep another character safe. its all about the character.

Does your characters personality and apperance have to carry over from thread to thread or can you change it up a bit for each RP?

That's all up to you.  Whether you want to keep the name, appearnce, personality, etc... the same, or if you want to change everything up each time, or if you just want to keep the same name, and change everything esle.

You have to go to the Serious RP companion board and look for spots, if some are available you make a character sheet which is then approved by the GM.
