You can get a Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch tablet for $99.99 at Best Buy.

No problem. I would have suggested the Wacom Bamboo Craft because that's what Shinzuu and I have, but it's $129.99.

I actually bought a Monoprice tablet recently. They're an off-brand and they're dirt cheap, so I was skeptical, but they were very strongly recommended by a couple of well-known people over on furaffinity so I ordered one. It's still in the mail though so I haven't used it yet.

Monoprice is ok, but I never recommend it for several reasons:
-The pressure sensitivity is glitchy. Non-existent for the cheaper versions.
-Low compatibility rate with art programs. Only works on specific ones.
-Not 2 sided with shortcuts like Wacom tablets.
-Just all-around not as good for the same price.

Wacom is the only real successful tablet manufacturer and is used by all professionals. The Bamboo Craft is near the top of Bamboo tablets, but is the minimum I ever recommend to anyone. It's a fair size (bigger then the Pen, Touch and Pen/Touch) and has the same functions as the Bamboo Fun (Larger and @ $199.99). When you get exceptionally good and some money, jump onto the Intuos. If you get really good and do this as a major profession, the 3rd and final series from Wacom (forgot what it's called), and get the ultimate tablets. The last one is epic overkill, but if you use all the features, it is the god of tablets.

The Cintiq is the other Wacom tablet. Couple thousand dollars; out of many people's price range.

I think I'll avoid that one zeph :P

and thanks shinzu, I tend to avoid brands I have never heard of, and apparently for good reasons.

I took vee's advice and have order the tablet (no best buys carried it D:<), so I guess this thread can be locked then no?

Really? Every Best Buy I've been to has it.
If you want it locked, I can lock it, but it's not necessary.

All Best Buys carry it, but it's in the Camera department, not the Computer department. (Don't ask, idk why).

@Zeph: Thanks. It's been killing me for the last couple months. The smallest Cintiq is $2,000 and the best one runs $3,500

They had  bamboo and touch, bamboo pen, and bamboo fun; but not the craft . I even checked online, idk maybe if its just where I am but I checked to different best buys, both in different counties, neither had it.

The Craft's been sold out everywhere lately. It's a very hot item since Thanksgiving week.

Actually, my Monoprice tablet has been working incredibly well so far. And it's way, way cheaper than the Wacom ($50 vs. a couple hundred dollars) so even though it doesn't have the shortcut buttons it's still incredible for the price.
