are you a secret fur or a public fur?

alot of people play out there furry lifestyle different than others..

some are public and proud of it...wear furry peraponellia (think thats how its spelled) use furry words, public fursuit and talk openly about there furry lifestlye.
while SOME hide it like a dirty little secret..and you honestly wouldnt know them a furry if you saw them walkin down the street.
i range furries on a scale of 1-5

1-secret furs.  you never know who we are, or even if we know what a fur is.
2- light furs. a few furry aspects..but people dont really know what its about till you tell them.
3- basic fur. is open about being a fur, wears some fur things and likes to engage in furry actions. you can tell there a furry by looking at them.
4- public furs. is more than happy to tell you all about there furry self, wears lots of furry things. tail, ears, uses lots of fur lingo, and there isnt a soul that doesnt know your a fur
5- OMG furs. EVERYONE has to know your a fur. you wear fur stuff EVERYWHERE ALL the time. you refuse to aknowledge your a human, and go by your furry name. you eat sleep and BREATH furry. you have little interest in anything un-fur. and your whole life is about bein a furry.

myself. im a light fur...but if i had the money to support it, id be a basic fur.

what kinda fur are YOU. are you a 1 or a 5..or do you think your even a level BEYOND five!

I'm secretive because nobody respects me and I'd be respected even less for being a furry and I guess I just feel like keeping furryness and life separate for now

not alot of people can handle the level of different that is a furry. i hope you will one day get in a social circle that you can be public about it!

I feel it is not necessary to share my hobbies with most people, so most people don't know about them offline.

for those that make it a lifestyle they can hardly contain themselves...but for those that only have it a part of there life can most certainly be content in just enjoying it themselves without involving others into there interests.
personaly i find it fun to have at least two or three people that know

I'd say I'm a public fur.. I am very open about being a fur, but I don't rush around moaning about that I am... I wear a collar at all times, I have worn a tail in a bus and some more or less public areas.. same with paws, but most of the time I wear them as gloves if I wear them since their warm and nice... I would never deny the fact that I'm a fur if anyone would ask, however, I won't always answer 'because I'm a fur' if I get asked why I wear tail or collar etc.. I would more likely respond something like 'because I like it'...

I'm usually a public fur, but Simba won't let me go out with my collar now. I wear animal print stuff and he wears lion shirts all the time, but I wanna do more. ><
I have paw earrings, but it's not as fun just wearing certain things. I say who cares what others think about me. I am who I am and I'll never change.

i second that! i wanna do more too. i my fox hat and i wish i could wear it to work instead of my stupid ballcap. >>;

im envious of you...i wish I HAD a collar..mine broke, it was a POS from hot topic. i wanna get a REAL collar from petco...a nice sturdy one that wont break and isnt made of fake leather.
