Donator perks

Tweak and I just finished setting up the new "donator" status on the forum.

Currently, by donating, you will gain the following abilities:
- Can lock your own threads
- Can remove your own threads
- Can edit your own custom title via your profile information settings
- Can save posts into the draft system to post later
- "Donator" displayed underneath your name, and your name will be colored purple around the forum.
- Access to additional games in the arcade

This status will only last for a month after each donation. Donations must also be a minimum of $5 in order to receive these perks.

We are also interested in adding more to the donator status in the future; if you have any ideas about what you'd like to see added, please let us know!


Just a way of thanking the people who go out of their way to contribute to the forums. We appreciate it!

Just a note to everyone, this isn't a way of making those who don't donate feel invaluable, it is to show the community those that have helped in giving the community support to allow it to keep running.

Someone who donates isn't looked upon any higher than another member, they are under the same rules.

The few small perks are hardly hugely beneficiary and the future additions will be similar, they are token gifts to show that the donations are valued; just like we provide you a community with no limits for free to show how we value every member here.

Every cent of the bills are paid by myself alone, as a student I am not in a situation where money is rolling in and finding the funds to support this every-growing community is difficult, I already need to invest in further equipment to provide a better service, something I will have to fund out of my own pocket. Every donation helps lower my own costs so that I can actually buy things for myself, so I can eat shop branded food rather than the cheapest available.

well i just goy my first job (hope i keep it...) so once i get my stuff together and that i was planing to start donating what i could anyway. now i just get some well apreciated (and unexpected) perks to go with the slightly larger ego and feeling of doing something good once in a while.

Donating is always optional. It's about helping Tweak out since he pays for all the server costs out of his own pocket, not about what you get in exchange. The donator perks are just a bonus. If you can't or don't want to donate, that's fine, but please don't tell us it's "not worth it."

I sometimes feel that about running the forum at all.

We offer donator perks as a small way to thank those who help to remove some of the strain on my bank account. If you feel donating isn't worth it then don't donate. I'll continue to pay anyway.
