Well, it's just a personal opinion, but to fit pictures, I think having some pictures that you like and looks nice is nicer to look at than a chunk of text for your sig. Not everyone might agree with me but taking my sig for an example; I got my characters and below their names nicely written out. Then a simple "Proud to be a furry" followed by an animated userbar and finally some simple information.

So while I do think a nice text sig can be fun to read, it's not always too easy in my opinion to bother reading it whereas some nice images and short bits of text will be more enjoyable to look at. Now I understand it's hard to get the same references with the images.. I can't really tell you what to fit in there, it's all your decision.

And once again, I'm not saying it's a bad sig, just it doesn't appeal too well to me because I feel it's too much text and therefore easy to overlook and not bother reading.

Excellent pictures and layout and points for animation, but it just seems hard to read and there is too much "going on".

Same as before

Placing an image in your sig: it's quite simple.. just like placing an image in your posts:
Upload the image to photobucket, imageshack or similar photo site, then put it in the sig using the [ img]*url here*[/img] tag as you normally would with any post on the forum.
