I'm a Christian.. To be honest, I dont understand a lot of other religious people...
Music: where the hell does it say in the bible 'Thou shalt not listen to Eminem' lmfao!
Listen to what you want and watch what you want.. To be honest, do whatever you want..
God teaches to love everyone no matter what.. So by saying you cant do certain things is really going against gods wishes :)

As for fasting...  Put your birthday cake in a blender :D:D hehe...
I wouldnt do it, but i've never really listened to my parents :D

I dont see why we're all expected to pick a religion and stick to it..
Why cant we say 'this is what i believe', and not categorise ourselves?!!

Please stick to topic. I do believe it was pertaining to the thread-creator's situation pertaining to his family's religious views towards technology.

a common misconception with satanism is
"oh, theyre evil. they murder people to sacrifice to there dark god of sin"
when really, thats all just the same old religious hate

alot of religions talk bad about all the other ones...cause "if you dont believe what i believe, your wrong..evil and your going to rot in the afterlife in an eternal suffering!"

but this is why i dont take up any religion...im agnostic, as in i belive in the soul..i belive in higher beings..not GODS..not ailiens either, but just..i dont think were alone in the universe, and were not extactly "top rank"
religious fanatics are waaaaay to uptight. they force it upon everyone around them, and espeicialy parents...they do it the worst to there kids.
and in the end, all there doing is driving them away.
:/
the world would be a far better place without any religion at all, no more classifications..or categories. and people would really open there eyes to acceptance

Hmm yes, but I doubt that without technology and computers, 95 % of the furries wouldn't have discovered them selves. Of course that after discovering that you're a furry you don't depend on technology but the internet is a very important factor in the furry fandom, without internet it would be so hard for people to know other furries, see art work and other stuff.

I don't agree with you. Most people need to believe in something, religion is crucial for the world because allows people to control them selves sometimes and also see what's right and wrong. A world where no one has a religion is a world nearing it's end.
That's why all of us should respect everyone's beliefs.

ok, let me rephrase that..
yes...religion is good in the fact that it gives people something to believe in...a higher power that makes them feel protected and looked after. but to what extent?

they stop using it as guidliness after a certain point..they use it for obsessing..worship, when in reality has worship ever done anything for anyone???
sure, it makes them feel closer to there god..and sure they can feel confident that there reserving themselves a place in there own heaven.

but really, its not ABOUT the worshiping, its about how you live your life
you could never go to church a single day in your life, and still live a good one...and who knows..get into heaven, but they take there feelings..morals and beliefs and manifest them into a worhiping figurehead.
and when people have a physical thing to obsess over..they tend to want to obsessivly protect and defend it.

meaning anyone who thinks there figurehead is bad, fake or wrong..they will fight viciously to protect it.

im supportive of belif.....NOT of worship
beliefe is wonderous..enlightening and helpful when making difficult choices..
worship is sad...worship is what starts wars..fuels hate and creates gaps for ignorance to breed

i cant think of a single person ive ever known that has overly religious parents..and they didnt suffer

I totally agree with this.

People should have strong beliefs instead of obsessively worshipping and doing every practice others say is 'needed' to be a part of that religion. That is why I refuse to be a part of any satanist group and do my own thing when I worship/speak to him.

Having a free mind is the key to success....if you follow a religion it is fine, as long as you freely wish to do so.
