Mortis walked quietly until the town came unto sight. The smells were intoxicating and made her stomach grumble lowly as she took them in. For a moment, she almost followed Moon until she remembered what the old man had said. She stopped in mid-step before she got anywhere, however, Moon did not. "Shit! Moon! Stop!" Mortis shouted, attempting to get the dragon's attention. She reached into her bag, retrieving the second piece of ham she had not yet eaten and waved it, hoping that Moon was making a beeline for town because she was hungry. She almost seemed to be talking to a dog as she did so. "Moon, I'll give you my ham and the rest of my bread!" She looked to Constance as she did this. "Come on animal wrangler, get a hold on your animals, here. The last thing we need is another folly because of you and your animals." The last bit of her words came out bitterly, but Mortis couldn't help getting irritated when she though about it. They could have avoided a lot of their conflicts if Constance's animals had been controlled properly. "I know you didn't summon Moon, but you may as well say you did considering how up your ass she's been." The chameleon silently recounted in her head, Hero almost got us killed because he rushed at soldiers we could have avoided, Constance almost had us caught by the caravan because she about fell out of the tree and her monkey jumped on the carriage... The second time we almost got caught because of Moon, and here again, Moon is going to get us killed if we can't get her. Her expression was irritated, but she tried to shift it into something less pissed off as she waved the ham, hoping Moon would respond.
