max was startled when Ramsey started reacting. "what in the?" once Ramsey had finished reshaping he looked over his new form, running his fingers over the smooth side of the blade while looking at the new serrated blade edge. "this could be usefull. i wonder what triggered the change." he walked over to the others quietly, Ramsey still in hand as he reached the others. "you three going to be OK?" he asked mortis, constance and moon, noticing macid in his own little world again.

[Shinzuu Katame: Her Tolfy]

Moon squealed at the application of the goo, as it accelerated her healing by filling up the bite wounds. Like Macid, the pain eventually sent her right into shock and she fainted. Not too long after that, the image of Filadius popped out from the gem on her belly, "Whew! Finally, my magic is no longer blocked! How are you kids doing? Making progress?"

Mortis felt bad for putting Moon through so much pain, but her expression shifted to a less than thrilled look when Filadius's image showed up. "Yeah, progress.." She mumbled, turning and sitting on the ground leaning against Moon. She wasn't using Moon as a rest so much as she was preparing to sit with her until she woke up again. She crossed her arms and looked away from Filadius, still rather irate with him.

Constance continued to console Moon up until she fainted. "I think we'll be fine." she responded to Max. She hid her sadness surprisingly well for the situation. When Filadius' image popped up she looked at it. "You couldn't tell us to go a different direction? Seriously, we went through a massive patrol, an evil soldier infested town and now behemoths!" she vented a bit. "Moon is hurt. Everyone's weapons are on the fritz and we can't seem to catch a break." she continued, unsure why she was letting these things out. She actually didn't notice but she was putting pressure on her ankle making it hurt. Though she stopped soon enough.

Macid was snapped back to reality when Filadius appeared. He waited until Constance was done yelling before putting his hand on her shoulder trying to comfort her. She was right that they had gone through alot because of his directions and was irritated at him too, but something he said caught his attention. He started asking questions to Filadius quickly, as he knew his visits were always short here. "What did you mean your magic is no longer blocked? And what's going on with our weapons? Anon just started flipping pages on its own and grew some kind of eye on the cover, and my pen has a ruby attached to it now. What goes in the other holes and why did the first one appear? What other kinds of monsters are here besides those behemoths? We could have been killed by that thing Damnit! What else haven't you told us about this place, or would the time stream unravel if you did so its a secret?!" He started out calm but ended yelling as Constance did, gripping her shoulder tightly now instead of just resting on it.

max sat down near mortis, still looking over Ramsey when filadius appeared. max looked up for a second, looking back down at Ramsey and listening to the others drilling the old man. he sighed looking up at the old man before standing up and resting Ramsey on his shoulder. "and whats with this? anything new here other than shredding rather than slicing?" he asked yawning and lifting  Ramsey slightly while finishing his first question. he looked down at moon and mortis at his feet then over at constance and macid on the other side of moon along with the old man.

Filadius made an almost pushing motion, "Take it easy! I'm sorry, Constance, but I'm only leading you through your destiny, and that's all. You just have to trust me. Also, Moon blocks my magic when she deems it necessary, so I don't pop up at wrong times, like say if you were hiding and there was a patrol near you. She also blocks my magic if her reserve magic is running on empty, or else I start using the magic that she actually can use. As for your weapons, it seems some of you have fulfilled certain conditions. Macid, Anon had grown what's called the Bestial Eye. It allows you to read the thoughts of any animal without a name. However, since it just evolved now, you can only use it once in a long while. After using it on one animal, the eye will close until it has recharged itself. I think it takes about 8 hours or so to recharge, so use it sparingly. As for you, Max, well, let's just say the sharpest weapon in the world just got deadlier and easier to manage. Has anyone else's weapons evolved or acted strange?"

"My book keeps glowing." Mortis mumbled, still looking away. She almost seemed to be staring through everything and her voice seemed flat. She took her book out, not breaking her gaze and hugged it in her lap. "If Moon was blocking you, should you even be talking to us? I mean, she can't block you if she's unconscious and she was blocking you for some reason." Finally after an eternity, she turned to look at Filadius. Despite feeling that he shouldn't be calling, she held her book out to show its pages were glowing. "It's been doing that since I used it and it worked the first time."

Constance looked at Macid's paw when he put it on her shoulder. She put her paw on it and sat there as he spoke. She felt his anger, his grip on her shoulder being all the sign she needed. "Macid...It's okay." she said, trying to calm him down. She didn't say that he was hurting her, rather ignore it so he didn't get more upset. Her ankle throbbed in pain but even that she was playing off. "I wonder if that gel would work on this injury...? That would be nice...But I think it's all gone." she thought, trying to take her mind off things.

[Ares the Ram]

"Macid...It's okay." He looked at her and realized he might have been hurting Constance's shoulder. He breathed slowly as he released his grip and began to rub it to try and show he was sorry. "I'm sorry. I just... we've been through hell and I don't see it getting any better any time soon and its just... I needed to let that out." He was speaking to everybody but it may have seemed to the others that he was talking to Constance. He had never felt such strong feelings for a group of people before, so he wasn't sure how to act around them. He took his hand off Constance and showed the ruby to Filadius. "I'm sorry. Please. Can you tell me what this means too?"

Filadius' image walked over to Mortis and he examined the glowing pages that soon stopped glowing again, not too long after, "Well, now. It seems it is signalling that you're getting closer to unlocking more pages. The book must be getting close to accepting you. Whenever you fulfill a certain condition with your summons, the book accepts you more and more as its owner, and unlocks more summons for you. As you may have noticed, it might have changed colors a few times. I'm not sure what the conditions are, nor do I know how many color changes are needed for the pages to unlock." He then walked over to Macid and examined the gem, "Well, the pen is doubled as a defensive counter-measure. It allows you barrier for a few seconds, and forms a 1-sided shield that can protect only you. Since this is a ruby, I'm willing to bet that it's a fire-element shield. After you use it, it'll turn clear until it's fully recharged."

Mortis looked her book over as Filadius explained the book to her. She eventually felt her wrist hurt again, so she pulled her book back and placed it back into her bag. She rubbed her wrist, only half listening to what the old man had to say to Macid. "So, uh, can she block you if she's unconscious?" Mortis asked again, not liking the fact that he had brushed off her question about Moon. "Should you be calling us right now?"

"It's fine..." said Constance to Macid. She held her ankle in pain though she wasn't looking at it. "Is Moon going to be okay...? She looks different now. Is she growing up?" she asked Filadius. Her wolf sat beside her scanning the area for any danger that could potentially harm Constance. "Is there anything we need to do? I've never raised a dragon before." she added in, petting Moon's head as she was unconscious.

[Ares the Ram]

Macid eyed the ruby again, now knowing what it would do. "A flame shield. I wonder how I activate it. Maybe by thinking about it?" His eyes went wide as he shook his head, trying to think of something else. Having it go off now would be a disaster he didn't want to even think about. He put his hand back on Constance's shoulder and waited for Filadius to answer about Moon. Her new features intrigued him, but also scared him slightly. Just how big she could get and other dragons here even stronger than her made his stomach uneasy.

max sheathed Ramsey carefully. looking back at mortis he sat back down. he wasn't sure why but he felt closer to mortis than the others, he had been keeping his distance and tried to gauge her reactions but most of the time he had found himself admiring her. he quickly shock his head to clear his thoughts before turning his attention to moon oping she would be OK. he saw mortis rubbing her wrist and decided he should try and help, after all she had helped him. "here, let me see your wrist, i might be able to help."
