Filadius looked over at Moon and pet her, though he was just an image, "She released the lock on me before she fainted, but yes, she can block me even if she were unconscious. The magic lock Moon uses is on and off by conscious decision. If she's unconscious and doesn't unblock my magic, then I would be unable to communicate. As for raising her, there's no 101 on raising dragons. You have to take care of her and raise her as you see fit. That includes baths, feeding, how you interact with her, and so forth. Everything that happens to her will affect every little bit of her growth until she becomes an adolescent dragon, in which case, her raising will be set in stone on what she turns out to be. However, the most difficult part is when they become adults. That's when you see different types of forms and powers."

The chameleon nodded and then looked away from his image. She didn't really respond or bother with anyone until Max asked to see her wrist. "It's fine, I, uh," She grabbed it, feeling the bones in it. "I think I just popped it out of place." For the first time she had actually started to concern herself with her injuries. Either way she let Max look at it. "I think all we have to do is jerk it back in place." She made it seem like it was nothing, but she knew doing that would be painful from the time she had dislocated her shoulder. "Though, I may not be able to draw for a bit, it would figure I would land wrong on the hand I need." She didn't know why she was prattling on. She figured they would have to make camp where they were for the night until Moon was able to move again.

When Filadius mentioned the word "Bath" Constance drifted off into her own world. "Baaaaath~!" she thought. She pictured a large bath, filled with bubbles and her in it. She was relaxing in it, the bubbles up to her neck. She hadn't gotten the chance for a bath yet, or a good chance to clean herself. She snapped back to reality and looked at Filadius. "Is there a hot spring around? We're in...Cherry fields I think..." she said, praying on the inside he would say yes.

Macid sighed as he looked down at Moon. The thought of caring and raising this dragon and affecting its growth made him feel somewhat like a father taking care of a child. The thought scared him slightly but he did his best to hide it from the group. At the mention of a hot spring from Constance, he started to imagine what it would be like to have one right now. He closed his eyes and dreamed of sitting in a mountain lake, with a bath house next to it and a wooden wall separating the lake in half for girls and boys. He imagined the water being just the right temperature and melting away all his troubles. He got so into his dream that when he started to clean himself in his dream, he started rubbing his hand across Constance's neck and shoulders.

max gently took mortis' hand and inspected her wrist, gently proding it with his fingers. he could feel the bone intact as he examined her arm. "feels like your right, not that I'm a doctor but we should be able to pull it back into place. but I'll hurt." he though for a moment then remembered something from back in the first town. he drove his free hand into one of his pockets and pulled out a small, water worn, cardboard box. "i had forgotten about these. i gave one to macid back in the first town. their the painkillers from where i work, they should help." he opened the box and looked at the thin silver sheet, "looks like theres only two left, one for you and one for constance. if you want one just hold out your good hand."

Filadius' face showed an almost apologetic look, "I'm sorry, Constance, but the discovery and usage of hot springs won't be applied for another 300 years, when the Dragon Wars causes the continent to split up into the world that you know and grew up with. However, if you want to get cleaned, there is another city about 2 days north that has an inn. But you should be able to get mildly clean from the two small villages up ahead. Paliria City has the most relaxed security out of all major cities in the world, but there are also a lot of bounty hunters that inhabit and visit the city, so there was never a need for it, so you will have to be extra careful."

The chameleon put her good hand up but not to take the pill. Instead it was held upright as if to push the idea away. "No, I'm good. I just.. I'll get it back in place and deal with it. I've had to do this before." At this point she wasn't even paying attention to Filadius. She figured anything that was important could be said to her later, or that Macid would tell her at least since Constance wasn't too fond of her. "Max, just grab my good hand and pull and I'll work it back into place."

Constance was crossing her fingers on the inside, waiting for Filadius' response. However she felt hands on her, not knowing who's they were for a moment it felt nice. Then she realized they were Macid's. "Macid! What are you doing??" she blurted out, sounding somewhat angry. She wasn't angry, rather having too many emotions at one time, confusion, embarrassment, surprise, and others. She didn't say anything in regards to Filadius' comment about hot springs not being around, she just sat there in an awkward silence.

When Constance asked Macid what he was doing, he came to his senses and realized he was rubbing her neck. Even with his thick fur, you could easily tell he was blushing from embarrassment. He quickly withdrew his hand and started apologizing to her. "Oh god, I'm so sorry, I, I just, I, oh god." He turned away from the others and tried to hide himself by sticking his head inside his empty bag. "Oh god, she hates me now. Awww god." While in his stupor, he managed to hear Filadius say something about a city 2 days north, smaller villages along the way, and bounty hunters.

"if your sure. just ask if you want one." max put the pills back into his pocket before taking mortis' hand in his, trying to hurt her as little as possible. he was half listening to filadius but getting distracted when macid snapped back to reality again. he looked mortis in the eyes, sure that he was more worried than her about putting her wrist back in place. he heard the old man say something about bounty hunters in the next major town and couldn't help but comment "oh come on, are we really that unlucky? or does this entire time in history really hates us that much?"

Filadius frowned, "You really are too used to the city life. You need to learn to be more active and get out more. I know it's not much, but this is my time, and your world's past. Well, if you kids have no more need for me, I should just conserve as much magic as possible." The sun set as they all rested up after the little skirmish. Even now, though no one really noticed, some of Moon's yellow scales were turning black.

Mortis looked at Max back. After a few moments of awkward staring, she mumbled, "Take a picture it lasts longer. OH WAIT. We don't have cameras because we're stuck in this stupid time." She threw her free hand up and without warning jolted her wrist forward twisting and cringing until it went back in place. To double check her handiwork she gave her wrist a roll when she freed it of Max's grip and grimaced. It hurt, but sure enough it was back in place. "Thanks." She said to him continuing to make circles with her hand until the pain got a little duller. "Let's hope I won't be useless for too long." With that she leaned against Moon again. She knew she wasn't going to be able to sleep the night away.

Constance didn't say anything to Macid, instead she looked around for her bag. When she spotted it she turned to her wolf who was looking around. With a pat on the head she got his attention. "Can you go get my bag?" she asked, pointing at her bag in the distance. The wolf took off to retrieve it. Constance was holding back from looking at Macid, she was embarrassed, too. "Should I say something? What would I say? "Oh no it's fine"...That would be awkward. He probably thinks I hate him...Hrm..." she went over in her head. The wolf returned, however it didn't have the bag, rather a chunk of meat in the bag. "That's definitely not what I asked for!" she snapped. The wolf's actions frustrated her, the pain in her ankle making her more irritable. She stood up quickly to go get her bag herself. "I'm going to go gather some fire wood. I don't think we'll be going very far right now." she said as she walked off, limping slightly. Her wolf walked a little ways behind her, sensing her frustration.

Macid could sense the frustration in Constance's voice as she claimed to go get firewood. "I knew it. She does hate me. Why am I so awkward?" He removed his head out of the bag and dabbed his eyes with it, as they had begun to tear up slightly. When he was done, he crawled up next to Moon, on the other side of Motis, and curled into a ball. All these emotions he was feeling were so new to him, he didn't know how to handle them all. All he was used to was sadness and fear, with an occasional happiness, and now he was feeling love for his friends, especially Constance. He shuddered and tried to cry as softly as he could so the others wouldn't notice, and they wouldn't unless they were looking at him.

max smirked at mortis' comment and went to say something back when she pulled her hand back into place suddenly causing him to bit his tongue. as soon as mortis' wrist was back in place he let go and grabbed his mouth in momentary pain. he heard her thank him and looked up, his mouth feeling better, "no problem, just call me if you need anything else." he saw constance get up and start walking off, he quickly jumped up ran after her, "wait up, I'll help." leaving macid and mortis with moon. he caught up to constance quickly and started walking next to her. "you going to be OK? you can lean on my shoulders if you want."
