Macid sat as patiently as he could while Max cooked the flanks of the deer Constance and him skinned. The aroma that emanated from the meat filled his nose and made his mouth water with anticipation. He began to fantasize about how good it would taste, to have hot food inside his stomach, and to be full once again. His stomach rumbling fiercely snapped him back to reality and whimpered softly as he held his stomach with his hands. He brought his eyes away from the meat for a second to look around the landscape. Nothing caught his attention, but a thought crept up into his mind. "What if someone or something sees our fire, or smells our cooking?" He looked around a bit more frantic this time, making sure no-one was around except them. Again, his stomach brought his attention to the meat. "*whining noise* Is it done yet? I feel like I'm going to collapse from hunger."
