Mortis was the first to leave Max's burial. She didn't stay long, she felt too bitter and too upset to stay for an extended period of time, so she just left without saying a word to anyone. She made it back outside and looked around, hearing the sounds, then disappeared back down where she had come from, taking a seat back on her bed and picking up her book.

Constance sighed and stood up, still looking at the grave. She shook her head quickly, trying to shake away the sadness. There was no time to be sad, she had to get stronger so Max's death wouldn't be in vein. She heard the noises of the wildlife around them, though they didn't seem hostile so she wasn't on edge. "Even the animals can sense the change. I guess..." she thought as she began to walk off. She took her wolf with her back to the hideout, though staying outside. She wanted to figure out what her new animal was. She knelt down and dismissed her wolf before taking out the runestone. She began to etch it into the ground and once she was finished she placed her palm on it to see what would come out...

Macid eventually stopped saluting and left the grave site, heading back to the cavern and ignoring everyone else. He wasn't in a very talkative mood and was feeling tired and hungry anyway. When he reached the cavern, he asked Damien if he could get some ham and bread as he sat down on his bed. For the first time since they arrived, he took off the finger portion of Anon and rubbed his now free finger, curling it back and forth as he waited for food to arrive.

Septar stayed outside after Mortis, and Macid had returned inside and watched Constance for a moment as she etched something into the ground and then placed her hand over the top of it. She didn't know what she was doing, but was a little nervous about getting too close because she had a weird feeling about it in her gut. She looked at the hand with the gauntlet on it, flexing her fingers again, and looking around for a big boulder to break or something to practice on. She really wanted to see if it would do what was promised, and then watch for the recharge. They would have only two more days there, and that meant if she used all three of her rubies, 2 today, and 2 the next day, they would be fully recharged by the time they would have to leave. To where, she was unsure, but the knew she needed to start talking to the others as Filadius' wishes were for them to get to know her, and she too, wanted to know them so they could work together.

The rest of the day was quiet due to everyone's moods, so Volgus let them be. However, he had to speak up when he saw Septar going off to find a boulder to smash, "Please go back downstairs with the others, m'lady. It's far too active with bounty hunters, we can't risk you being found." Moon didn't even bother to help her since she was ignored. She spread her wings and flew up, thinking to herself how much Septar was starting to seem like Max, going off to do her own thing.


The wolf disappeared into a puff of smoke, and the rune in the ground glowed as it emanated a purple light and the glow left a cloud of smoke. When the smoke settled, there stood a short, little cactaur.

Mortis wound up falling asleep against her own will after seeming to be idly be fixated on her book for a long while. Her mind had finally exhausted itself from thinking in circles. She didn't even get under any covers or anything, she just knocked out in place where she had been laying the whole time. She dreamed of being back in her own time again, and she dreamed that she had never met Filadius, her life taking a somewhat normal course.

Constance winced a bit until the smoke cleared from her new summoned creature. When a small, cactus looking thing was left she looked at it somewhat confused. She was a little surprised to see something so small,  but then she looked at it's face and became giddy with joy. "Aww! It's so cute!~" she squealed. She went to pet it, but was pricked by it's pines and pulled her paw back. "Ow!" she exclaimed, shaking her paw in a bit of pain. She couldn't help but to still be happy at the adorable little cactaur in front of her.

The food arrived and even though Macid was hungry, he wasn't in as much of a mood to eat as he thought. He forced himself to eat, chewing slowly and not very much liking it. Eventually he set his fork down and crossed his arms, fighting back tears as he tried to hide himself behind his paws. He was whimpering softly as he covered himself with a nearby blanket as he developed into full sobs, the death of Max hitting him full force as he curled up and cried to himself.

Septar hadn't wandered very far off, maybe a few meters from where Constance was, and was only looking for a boulder when she heard Volgus call to her about going back downstairs with the others. "Oh! Yes sir. Bounty hunters? What would they want with me?" She asked him meeting him back at his side, "I guess they'd want any of us though, wouldn't they?" Septar lowered her head and looked at the ground walking back towards the entrance of the Cavern. She turned back to look at Moon who looked irritated, and then to Constance who had a living cactus next to her? Septar shook her head and rubbed her temples with her pointer fingers, and then turned to walk back down the stairs. She supposed she should try and rest, stay close with the group, and be silent for the moment as it didn't seem anyone had interest in talking to her anyway.

The next two days were pretty much clockwork and quiet. It wasn't really ample time for proper training, but it was enough for Septar to learn the very basics, and for Mortis' mood to calm down. When it came time to leave, it was midday, and Volgus led the group to a secret corridor that not even the nuns knew about. Outside of the entrance that they had come in, and past the grave site, there was a very narrow, but visible path through the thicket. "This path is used to smuggle refugees and wanted fellow soldiers, so it's very safe. It's a long path, but a half-day's walk should put you far from searching eyes, and just out of view from the city."

As Volgus lead them to a path she thanked him for both keeping them in a safe place and allowing them to rest. She gathered her things and began to walk, looking back to see if the others were going to follow. She had no clue what they were going to do next, but she just felt like maybe she should roll with the punches for the time being.

Over the two days Constance practiced her dagger skills, usually late into the night. By the time she came back everyone was asleep. When she wasn't practicing she was eating or sleeping. She particularly went for the meat and fish and right after eating she would take a nap. When it was time to go she took her things and followed after everyone. When they got to the path they were to take she looked at Volgus. "So what's the next town again?" she asked.

As the days went on, Macid got more and more used to Septar being apart of the group and started being friendlier to her. When Volgus finally led them out and through a secret corridor, into a passage through the thicket that he explained was for smuggling refugees, he extended his paw and shook Volgus'. "Thank you Volgus, for letting us rest and feeding us. It really means alot to us that you've done this... and helped with Max." His face turned to a sad smile as he turned towards the small path, Constance asking what the next town was.

Septar was glad that Macid was warming up to her, but she couldn't say that Mortis had much interest in her at all so far. Though, it didn't seem like she had much interest in anyone to Septar. Maybe it was just that she was quiet. When the group was lead down the path for smuggling refugees she wished that she had a flashlight most of the nights, but had to learn to deal with her new environment. She walked next to Macid for a little while, "What has happened to you all before I came along? The prophecy has seven heros, and there are only four of us here...where are the other three?" She questioned him.

On the map, the next town from their location was a very small one, but not so small as to be called a village. From the end of the trail they were taking, it would be another 2 day hike, but there was something unexpected up ahead. It was a danger that was going to change the very way they approached on traveling and what they would encounter.
