max quickly looked at marco. "you ghost," "i have a name..." marco interupted "care factor?....when you pass through someone do they get a cold chill?" "i've heard comments. why?" "she apears to be mortal at the moment. so if you passed through her it could help cool down her fever" max said watching both eartha and finn calmly.

Eartha jolted away and writhed as if she was in pain until suddenly she stopped, her once glazed eyes were now clear again, she was all sweaty, signaling that her fever broke. she looked as Marco, and the two boys.  she knew she had an explanation "I was going through what some call a metamorphosis...my whole body and soul had to change in order to become human...completely for at least several years... she did bother saying that she was to remain this age for several hundred years.

Finn stared as Eartha stood up and slowly walked into the bathroom, assuming when she turned on the shower, that she was taking a shower. the phone rang "ummmm....Max, that might be the school" Finn gulped

"yea, i'll get it." max quickly walked over and answered the phone. "speaking....yes....he's here.....i'll tell him.....yes i'm sure it's fine....nothing is going to happen....ok..ok, bye." he hung up the phone with a sigh and walked back in and sat down as he heard the shower start. "it was your folks, they thought i had kidnaped you. and are still insisting i'm a bad influence on you."

"like I care" Finn grumbled "my step father is the alcoholic" he eased back into his seat "I wonder why Eartha is mortal now?" the door bell rang, Finn saw Harold, Max's creepy neighbor "hey Max...your neighbor is at the door"

Eartha showered off the sweat on her body, she didn't feel dizzy and sick anymore, just tired. she felt a great pain in her chest that was familiar..sadness I am mortal again...I have not felt like this since... she shook away the memory as she turned off the water and stepped out, taking a towel and drying her off, she heard someone ring the door bell. she would wait a moment.

"ok, you disapear." "fine, i know when i'm not wanted." marco said in a slightly snooty tone. "the last thing i need it my neighbor trying to exercise my house...." marco completely vanished as max walked over to the door and opened it slightly. "yes father harold? what would you like to lecture me on today?"

(he is not a father anymore , just a regular 23 year old guy)

Harold smiled at his neighbor, he was older than the teens, about 23 years old. he took a step closer "I couldn't help but notice you bringing in someone...was that person alright?" he smiled as he stepped past Max easily. "after all, I am a medical student"

Finn slipped away from the front room to the bathroom where Eartha was "hey...you okay in there" "I am in the other room" she whispered from behind. Harold noticed the fox kid going into the other room. Finn entered the room, seeing Eartha in only a towel he blushed madly and turned around. "do you need clothes?"
"yes"
still not looking he gave her a big shirt and a pair of out grown sweats that Max still keeps. Eartha put them on, Finn turned around. she looked kinda silly but in any case she wouldn't get a cold. she was looking dazed like she did on the roof...still, listening.
"whats wrong?"

Finn looked ta her weird "I thought you lost your powers?"
some of them...I still have some to keep me safe"

"yea she'll be fine. she just passed out from exgorstion, nothing serious." max lied calmlyhoping the former preist would believe him. he quickly showed harold out asuring him that everything was fine.

marco crept into the room with finn and eartha and quickly materialised. "i get the feeling i missed something......" he said looking from eartha in baggy clothes to finn's still slightly red face.

"he walked in while I was in a towel, I assure you he saw nothing..." her stomach growled loudly, Finn broke out into loud laugh. Eartha blushed, Finn thought it was the cutest thing ever. "I need nutrients...I have not eaten in several hundred years"
Finn, still laughing called up a hamburger joint that does delivery. "hi...can I get three cheeseburgers, six large fries and three shakes, one strawberry, one vanilla and..." he looked at Eartha ...."Chocolate" "and Chocolate" after giving the address and the price he hung up. "food should be here soon..." he snickered.

"well then" Harold said before he left "I leave you be now" finally he left and Finn followed by Eartha came out. "I'm paying for food that is coming" Finn said slowly. Eartha sat down on the sofa "I hope you don't mind me using your clothes...I need to go shopping eventually and find a house"

marco joined finn in laughing, "i'm sorry but that was soo cute." he said calming down while finn was on the phone. "so, seven hundred years, wow, i can't even remember how old i am. or how i died." he followed finn and eartha out into the loungeroom calmly

max smiled kindly at eartha's comment and thought for a litteral second. "or you could just stay here for a while. my sister used to live here, you can have her old room, and i think she left some clothes behind that might fit you a bit better." max said holding back a laugh at how odd eartha looked. "if you want i can show ou the way. and i guess you'll be staying...what was your name?" "marco, and if you don't mind i would like to stay if eartha is." both max and marco looked over at eartha, waiting for her answer to max's offer.

"I accept your kindness graciously" several minutes later the door bell rang sand Finn came back with three HUGE bags of food, Eartha's mouth watered at the smell as he gave the food to everyone. Eartha opened her Huge burger and ate it slowly, savoring the food. she was gonna have to eat for a while, luckily this will tide her over for a bit. "the one thing I should warn you, as an Angel I couldn't eat, now, I crave food, so I am gonna eat a whole lot before I am satisfied" she drank some of her large milkshake and ate a frie

"good to know, so i guess we're going out for all-you-can-eat tonight?" max joked grabbing his own burger and ripping it in half, putting the other half infront of eartha and starting to eat his half. "once we're done i'll show you my sisters room, feel free to use anything you find in there, she won't be back for a few weeks. so marco, how long have you been in town?" "since before the hospital you were born in was built" he chimed smiling. he reached out and picked up a picture on a small draw systom "is this your sister?" he asked pointing to a dark green lizard with it's arm around a smalled black version of itself. "yea, that's her. that picture was taken a few weeks ago, before she went back over to britan."

Eartha finished eating her own burger before she ate the other half, then she ate her fries one by one Finn smiled at the picture "awesome girl ..."
"there is alot of sadness in her eyes..." Eartha stared.

"yea. i don't blame her for being sad. that was taken when she was able to stop crying after 'the incedent' but like i said, she's over in london, sorting out her problems......" "what problems?" "her boy friend was pushed infront of a train by a jelous ex-boyfriend while she was here visiting me."

Eartha looked thoughtful as she stared at the picture. "her ex-boyfriend was trialed for murder and is in prison for life" she said slowly, eating her second thing of fries. "her boyfriend is....in a different place, a good place"

"yea, but she's left behind to pick up the peices. i liked rick, he was so normal." max said looking at the rest of his lunch, suddenly no longer hungry he pushed it away and got up. "her room is the third on the right upstairs, finn your in the second on the right and i'll be in the first on the left. marco, you can sleep where ever." he walked away and diapeared upstairs. "i think i might have upset him...should i go and apologise?"
