"i hope you werent too rough with him eh jay?" Kitt laughed as he and Katka went into the cafe to check in for their shift.... a feline waitress, for all the staff in the Guilded persian where feline, walked up to Jay with a Lunch menu...
"if you dont mind, i would advise the omelette... very good omlettes here, unless you would like somthing else, it all tastes good.."
The waitress blushed and had to turn away for a second, her tail swishing, before turning back to Jay..

Jay gives a charming smile, taking her advice and ordering the omelette. Turning to Kitt, he explains, "I wasn't rough at all, I just told him that you're a friend of mine and that he should go a little easier on you, you know?" he laughs softly, realizing that that didn't explain all that much.

"scrambled eggs for me Jasmine" The waitress turned away from the table with their orders... "ha, well he can be wuite harsh.... i suppose it has somthing to do with being a head chef..." Katka returned from checking in for her shift and took the chair beside Kitt... "i hope your not ordering food again Kitt... you work here.." Kitt mumbled somthing about hungry and hs eshot him a stern glance....

"Hehe, it's okay, you can have some of mine - and still, you should find that he's a little nicer from now on" he gives a warm smile as his food arrives.

"thanks... ooh, you ordered the omlette... omlettes great here..."
katka rolled here eyes.
"all you think about is food Kitt Szabo.."
"not true... i think about plenty of things.... including you... OW! punching on the arm again, it hurts... youve got a mean aim..."
Katka stuck her tongue out at him and smiled at Jay...

Jelly cuts a good-sized portion of the omelette and slides it to the edge of the plate for Kitt, he starts eating the other half, closing his eyes and savouring the taste of the delicious meal. "Better hurry up and eat that, this is so good that i might have to retract the offer" he teases playfully

Kitt wolfed down his portion of the omlette, much to the displeasure of katka..
"greedy little Cat arent you!"
"sorry... m' just hungr OW!... stoppit.. im gonna get massive bruises today.."
Kitt finished off the rest of his part of the omlette slower, savouring the food, and keeping one eye on Katka and her "playfull" punch...

Jay giggles and eats his portion more slowly, glancing over at the two felines and wondering what there was between them. Finishing the omelette, he waves over the waitress, asking for a cup of coffee and watching her blush as she bustled off to fill the order. The rabbit chuckled and settled back into the booth.

Katka stood up, ruffled Kitts hair affectionatley, and walked off towards the Kitchen.... returning not two minutes later calling Kitt...
"Kitt... your wanted in the Kitchen for five..."
Kitt stood up, apoologising to Jay for leaving him alone and hurried over to the Kitchen, pulling his apron on and pushing through the Kitchen door into the bustling Kitchen...

The bunny waves him away, telling him not to worry about it, "We'll hang out later - for now..." he looks over at the feline waitress, because at that moment she returned with his coffee . He thanked her politely, accepting the hot cup gingerly and giving her another charming smile.

One of the older felines ordered Kitt to a stove and told him the order that needed finishing... Kitt got to work, lighting the stove... Katka got back to work doing an omlette for someone, just like the one that Jay and Kitt had eaten earlier... one of the youngest feline who was doign dishes turned on a cd player... loud techno/trance blasted out much to the amusment of the younger staff, Katka flashed a smile to Kitt as she flipped the omlette expertly... the head cheff trying to get through the crowd of staff to shout at the dishwasher was dancing along to the music, very likely to drop a plate....

As a waitress passed through the Kitchen door all of this could be seen, and more prominently heard... but this was the atmosphere the furs came for, most smiled warmly as a loud crash could be heard from the Kitchen... yep, he had dropped the plate...

Jay lifted the coffee to his lips, flinching as he heard the loud crashing noise from the kitchen, still able to be clearly heard through the blare of the techno music. He hoped it wasn't Kitt who had dropped the dish, but at least, he knew, the head chef wouldn't be too harsh on him now...

The head chef got the young feline by his ear and dragged him out of the back kitchen door... Kitt winced feeling sorry for the dish washer... he'd only been on the job a week... Serving up the dish the waiter told Kitt to take it out to the table himself... Pushing open the door Kitt walked into the cafe and set down the two bowls of hot soup in front of a pair of canines and slumped back down in the chair opposite Jay, Katka joined him a moment later once she had finsihed the omlette for table nine...
"so Jay... you wanna tell us some more about yourself? i dunno... past-times?"
Katka slid a chair over while talking to Jay...

"Well, in my time off I travel; just walk and see where the road takes me, you know? ...okay, where the aeroplane takes me, but that's not the point." He explains how he'd picked the plane at random and ended up here in America, across the world from his home in Australia. "It's an... interesting experience, deliberatley forcing culture-shock on yourself - not so much when I came here... I've been the to States plenty of times for work"

"sounds fun... me and Kitt came over by plane as well... from slovakia in europe.. i dont know, we just wanted to try working here, better pay... nice life...."
Kitt nodded, feeling that he wasnt really adding much to the conversation he said.. "yeah, we where in the same cullinery course in Bratislava, stayed in the same appartmeant and then decided to move over here..."
Katka elaborated once it seemed Kitt had run out of things to say.. "we came to stay here in the inn for a while, and found this cafe... and weve been working here since... feels like home now..."
