Of course, the brief respite was exactly that, brief... Katka was there again only a few turns down the winding path, leaning languidly against a mossy rock. Kitt stopped walking and clenched his fists "Stop following me!" The shout roused a flock of crows from their perches in a nearby tree. Katka merely grinned and pushed herself away from the stone. She walking in the way that annoyed Kitt the most, hands clasped behind her back and with slow purposeful strides. He shuddered where he stood and clenched his fists tighter until he could feel his claws piercing flesh.
"Me, following you?" She finally reached him and put an arm around his shoulders, leaning close and smiling a Cheshire-cat smile "Perhaps it is the other way around. Have you ever thought of that..." Kitt growled and shoved her away, staring with venom up at the cold blue sky. He needed to find a settlement, or even just a group of travelers, get away from the solitude and madness.
Katka grinned another of her smiles and stepped up beside him "Solitude? You have me. silly. Your never alone with me around... Besides, there are people nearby. A large group of them in fact, getting ready to travel if I'm not mistaken-" She stopped mid-sentence, watching as Kitt set off at a run down the path. Funny, he always did that when she mentioned there where other people somewhere nearby. Of course he never waited to let her tell him where they where, but this time he was actually running in the right direction.
