I need time to make this if anyone is interested, so dates may be set up accordingly.Okay so for the past few...months (because I have no life)....I have been working on an RP that is centered solely around the world of a comic I plan for in the future. This is a serious comic and serious idea, not a side project, not a side story or covered up story or backstory and not any old RP. This is the real deal and will have a major impact on my future creative life. Honestly I plan on marketing this comic/story in some form since it has become sort of a life's work for me. I know the story, the world and the character designs like the back of my hand since I've been working and revising them for some years. It has gotten to a point I really, really, really want some serious interaction with others to inspire possible futures for this work....my idea? Cast a very serious roleplay set within the story and world and let players mess with it their own way.
If you join, I offer an opportunity for your character to appear in my work. That is to say, if this becomes a novel or you see this on a webcomics list someday, your character may pop up and you'll be suprised!! Now I can't promise I'll shove your character in there, but if you make a good enough, realistic but cool one, then I may ask you if I can use him or her.
Think of it as free art, on a much more major scale.
Here's the
BASIC story, dumbed down to make it quick and sweet. Sorry if it's too basic and boring but I really tried to stick with the bare facts:
Hundreds and hundreds of years in the future, mankind has abandoned Earth. Warfare including the use of strange weapons beyond human imagination left the planet in shreds and uninhabitable...but science has predicted this. The government prepared a secret project for this very time --- emergency space travel, a ship set on a course to a planet that seems from a distance inhabitable. A select number of individuals were chosen to board this ship, amoung them evil government incarnate. During in the years in space, these individuals specifically from the government set up an almost religious doctrine of ideals, rules. They based their idealogy upon a figure from a war long past.....Adolf Hitler. They saw the opportunity to create a new race entirely to their liking and took it, creating what would eventually become the Sentential Scope-Nazi Party, or the SSNP.
Years later, this group landed on said planet. Only, it was not what they expected at all.....this planet was full of....magic...something they had never seen before. There were monsters, natives, and terrian that was like something out of a fantasy novel of yore. They tried to start building villages and setting up a tribe, but repeated attacks from monsters, natives, and the mystic land itself dwindled their numbers of not only females and children, but males dangerously, and they were not willing to give up their history of Earth quite yet. Realizing that their 'barbaric tools' were not enough at all to keep them save, they finally stopped and asked the natives for help. The natives, known as Grendala, became much less agressive when asked for help and agreed to share their magical knowledge as well as knowledge of all the forests, jungles, plains, and deserts with the immigrants.
Unfortunately, this was a mistake. The greedy SSNP, hating the Grendala for their skin color and belief system, used them for its own ends. The SSNP charmed the Grendala into imbuing its unborn infants with magic ability, and began misusing the magic from the soil to create magical guns and armor. Horrified by their misuse of the soil, the natives backed off from the SSNP and warned that they would attack if the mistreatment continued...which was fine with the Nazi Party. By this time, their numbers had climbed again. And, combining magic with technology they easily drove off the Grendala and began to establish their own empire...The Brink.

The RP itself takes place hundreds of years later, once the SSNP has fully established its empire to the size of a country and set up entire technologically advanced cities on formerly organic soils. But they do not have all the control. Over their borders lies the Rebel Alliance, a country established from refugees of the Neo-Nazis' cruel, racist regime, natives, and simply do-gooders with hope for a brighter future. The border wars are constant, and while the Rebel Alliance does fear the Nazis' eventual advance, they have their own advantage in the form of 'tresspasser protests,' or crossing the borders into Nazi territory and performing protests in front of its citizens in an attempt to open their eyes to the truth of their leaders.
Meanwhile, the boundries between the six dimensions around the planet are blurring, and magic is becoming increasingly scaier and more powerful to weild. Monsters and gods from other dimensions occasionally cross over this blurred line and wreak terror on both factions......People say this has something to do with the Nazis' misuse of holy soil.
There are plenty of furries to be had. Furries are a native species on this planet and can be either Nazi or Rebel. You could be almost anything you want since this isn't nearly all the info I have. You could even be a God from another realm but I would strictly limit that. You can start in any position, have all kinds of spells, design a costume, whatever.
It would be about you coming up with an awesome, fleshed out character.
The RP itself is different in that it is a serious Story RP. That is, you play it like you would a RPG (my style for this is heavily influenced by the variety in Fallout games), from the ground up, doing whatever you want and becoming as important to the events in the story as you try to be. I would PM you periodically with important information and important choices your character could make in the future, most which will influence not only where you would be at the end of the RP, but how the entire thing will end.
As long as you are realistic (I will be using realism rules, i.e. traveling from place to place does not take five minutes on foot, it takes you a few days) and go into clear depth and really use your imagination, everyone has as much influence and power as anyone else, and I will help you along the way with lots of interaction.
