Word of warning: Lots of emotional art on the way, very few commissions etc.
I'll spare you all the details if you don't know them already, but to put it short my dog died this weekend and I miss her terribly.
This piece was done for my school work, it's all about identity - this being my kitchen, it has something to do with where I live. It's also got added in my dog, where she used to sleep and her bowls. The drawing itself was all done from memory so there might be a few inaccuracies (for instance, I ran out of space a little on the cupboards so ended up missing out one of the really thin ones). I actually quite like the style it came out in, reminds me of Van Gogh's use of perspective and colours when it came to interiors, like when he drew his room or his chair.
There's also hints towards my dog, of course. The light shining through shows the happiness she brought to our lives, and how happy she always was. Position of the bed... Where it used to be, of course
All calm and peaceful, because that's the way she was. And the clock... Estimated TOD. I don't know what the actual time was, but I remember looking at the clock pretty close to the incident for a moment and it was about that time, so that's when I decided it was.
Sorry I went all emo on you there. You came here to enjoy my art, not listen to me ramble x3
