Just got a new laptop in addition to my macbook and crappy desktop!

So, I don't know the specs right down to the detail, but here they are;

Model: Asus K53TA
Processor: AMD A6-3400M APU Quad Core 4x ~1.4GHz
RAM: 8192MB (~8GB) assuming DDR3
Graphics: ATI Radeon HS 6500M 1GB
OS: 7 Home Premium, too lazy to format and install Ultimate
HDD: 750Gb ... that's all I know
Screen res: 1366x768px

Again, not so detailed, but if you really care that much you can just google the model. :P

Desktop

-Home-built
-8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1333MHz (I believe)
-Intel Core i7 @ 3.33 GHz
-2x NVidia 9800 GTX+ running in SLI
-MSI P7N-SLI motherboard I THINK (don't quote me on this)
-2x 500GB, 1x 1TB HDs all running @ 7200rpm
-Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit

Can't be bothered with the rest of the details.

The processor and +4 GBs of RAM are the most recent installs.  I built the machine originally about three years ago.  Serves my purposes more than fine, which is mostly photo editing in terms of high-demand stuff.

Laptop

-Lenovo ThinkPad T410
-4 GB DDR4 RAM (don't remember access speed)
-Intel Core i5 @ 2.4 GHz
-Onboard graphics (this is NOT a multimedia machine)
-1x 320 GB HD @ 10,000 rpm
-Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit/Backtrack Linux 5 Dual-boot

I use this computer for most of my work.

Also, I was a primary Linux user for a long time, preferring Fedora and Arch Linux when not penetration testing (hence Backtrack), but it just became impractical for me.  I needed Windows for my photo editing, as I use Adobe Lightroom, which doesn't run stably in Wine, I prefer Microsoft Office to LibreOffice or OpenOffice for normal work, I needed Wolfram Mathematica for my studies, and I wanted to run Skyrim without a compatibility layer.  I may put Arch back on my laptop at some point though, especially since I'm doing so little penetration testing these days that Backtrack is getting pointless.

My computer was custom built in december 2010, it was built by a friend of a friend known to me only as phillip. The computer cost me $1,800 AUD and came with a Geforce 460 GTX 1 GB graphics card, i7 950 processor with 1366p Motherboard, 6GB 2000p RAM, A blu-ray player, CD burner and  Windows 7 64 bit. The cost of those specs is now $1,200.

My computer has been through thick and thin, the C: drive is made up of a 64 GB Solid State Driver, which means it would only have windows on it, and nothing else, everything else would be on my 2 TB HDD. This however, caused significant problems, as everything by default moves on to your C drive, so, obviously I'd change where it was downloaded/installed/moved to, but some things would always manage to slip through because I'm a forgetful person like that.

The main troubles my computer have gone through are me, and Battlefield 3. I don't think any game has given me more trouble. First, for the BETA, I had to install the new Nvidia drivers, on 3 different times, my graphics card drivers would be automatically erased, then the nvidia drivers downloaded, then the nvidia drivers FAILING to install. in which case I'd have a computer with no graphics card software -.- (had to install the old software via Windows Update). Battlefield 3, also, was installed (due to my forgetfulness) on my C: drive. Now, the problem was, Origin is linked with the client software, the cloud and the battlelog website. So in order to move it, you had to configure all those, at the same time. Took me a very long time.

so yeah, that's pretty much a boring story about my computer :D

I have 7 computers total in the house.  5 of those are mine.  :P

I build the new family PC along with my gaming PC (I forget what the specs are).  I also have an Acer Aspire One AOA150/ZG5 and a Macbook Pro.  I use the Acer the most out of any of my portable computers however, but that's because it has Windows as well as Linux on it.  The Macbook Pro can run Windows but getting Linux to run on there is really hard to do (and because of trying I messed up my Windows partition and stuff so I need to re-install it).

The old family PC (it's about 10 or 11 years old now) is running a Minecraft server 24/7.  :P

I also have an old Dell CSx Lattitude which a friend was gonna throw out so I asked if I could has and he said yes.  :3

Have a new PC since a few weeks ^_^

MB:          Asus M5A78L LE
CPU:        AMD FX-4170 Quad-Core Processor 4200 MHz
RAM:        4GB DDR 3 (only 4 because I want to keep my 32bit WinXP)
GPU:        nVidia GeForce GTS 450
Sound:    Realtek® ALC 887 8-Channel High Definition
HDD:       2TB Western Digital

More Info: http://www.sysprofile.de/id124356

Now I have to buy another HDD because my external decided to break something... --;
I'm glad it was able to start once more after a lot of tries, so I could save everything.
Hope the prices will drop soon <.<
