See, I never really had a good case for tidiness. I could usually group and shove all the cables around, but the most that would be really visible was the huge graphics card >3>

i have a toshiba Satellite L775-S7307 which is good for watching videos but it's terrible for playing video games. it cant even run minecraft on it's default settings without it lagging so much that you cant play it. I might as well updaaate my setup on top of the other computers I have.
Servers I pay for, if I haven't done them already.

I've got a really small VPS used for web hosting, no point in specs. VPS = 'nuff said, hurdur.

- Dedicated called 'Auric' (this host is kinda uninformative)
Proc: Intel Celeron G530 Sandy Bridge 2x 2.4GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3
BW: 100Mpbs
HDD: 250GB

- Dedicated that's unnamed, only will have it for around a month (unfortunately, also different host from Auric)
Proc: Intel Core i3 2x2 3.4GHz
RAM: 16GB DDR3
BW: 100Mbps
HDD: 2x 1TB SATA

First is for web hosting.
The second runs:
  • IRCd: foxsky.fuzzi.es 6667
  • ZNC bouncer
  • SHOUTcast daemon
  • Some web hosting
  • And other things if I need them :P
The third runs my Minecraft server, but usually Auric runs that. I'll have to move it back eventually.\

It's also nice to see my thread is still active. xD

MOAR UPDATE!

Replaced all with one server from OVH, and now have:

Proc: Intel i5 4x 3.0GHz
RAM: 16GB DDR3
BW: 100Mbps
HDD: 2x 1TB SATA
OS: Ubuntu Server 12.04

Runs all of the above that the above listed servers did. :3

I built my new computer off of ibuypower a few months ago. 
  • Case - NZXT guardian 921 RB gaming case
  • Processor - AMD FX 4100CPU
  • Cooling - Fan and heat sink
  • memory - 8GB Ram
  • Video card - AMD radeon HD 7770
  • Hard drive - 2TB -- 64m Cache, 7200rpm, 6Gb/s-single drive
i think its a great computer and as far as gaming computers go, i got it for a really good price  ^_^

Just sold my laptop to my amazing mate, and he used the money he bought it and some extra cash I have to order stuff for my brand new desktop. Should be here middle of next week, so here's what my new machine'll be~

With the help of Timmy with some second looks at my wiring, fixing the HDD error read, motherboard error readouts regarding RAM seating and setting up the XMP profile, the computer has been sorted out. Thanks to the royal cutefox.

No disc drives, I find them useless.

The case has been modded with some extra screw holes on the top door that I hand drilled, so that the corsair h100 radiator and fans could coexist with the other 3 230mm fans around the inside of the case.

CPU: Intel I7-3770k @ 3.4GHz using a Corsair H100 water cooler leaving a lot of capability for overclocking.


RAM: 16GB, would've been 8 but I found a good deal on Aria :p


GPU: Asus Nvidia GTX 550i using a Artic Twin Turbo 2 cooler.


Soundcard: Asus Xonar 7.1, got 5.1 speakers currently set up.

It's not impossible with proper planning and timing. But I'd say $300 would be the lowest end gaming solution you could do.
I've made ones from $400 to $2500, so anything's possible.
