[Insert basement dweller joke here]
Put downstairs because that way I didn't wake the whole house with my conversations. Originally was supposed to be temporary, but things are complicated.

The mac is probably the most obvious; 16GB RAM, intel Quad-core i7 CPU, running OSX Maverick. 2 years old and still a great system.

The computer on the left is an Ubuntu computer I built with spare parts. MSI Mobo, 6x core CPU, 8GB RAM, single HDD (may eventually be double), XFX R7 240 Radeon graphics card, Monitor is an old 720p TV I had lying around. Great for just about anything, though mostly use it for web-based actions and mid-low processes.

The computer on the right is a real Windows 7 powerhouse: x8 core 4.0Ghz AMD CPU, NVidia GE Force GTX 770 GPU, 16GB DDR3 RAM, Several HDD and singe SSD, 27" 1080p IPS monitor + 23" 1080p Touchscreen, Intuos Pro Medium graphic Tablet, ACE 5.8Ghz Wireless Gaming Headset, front-mounted multi-card reader with USB 3.0, Blue Yeti Microphone, Logitech: G600 (mouse), G510 (keyboard), G13 (macro board), G230 (wired analog backup gaming headset), C920 (1080p HD Webcam),  5.1 Surround Sound + Sub-wuffer (can't recall model number). Used for gaming, Video Production (Mic is for Voice-over), Game Dev experimenting, just about anything really.

What you don't see in this picture:

-The iPad was recently replaced with an android powered Asus TF700T Transformer Pad Infinity.

-Samsung Galaxy Note II Android Phone.

-Acer Aspire One Netbook (had windows, put Ubuntu on it): dual core intel Atom CPU, 2GB DDR3 RAM.

Should also mention that up until this last January, I'd never touched a computer part in my life. Had an A+ Certified friend of mine show me how, and let's just say this was probably the quickest skill I ever picked up on (Having a background in programming didn't hurt). Now a-days I find myself happy when elbows-deep in computer guts  XP

I have two computers, both of which are by most peoples standards, Old and way under powered.

Dell Latitude XT 2007
Processor   Intel U7700 Core2Duo 1.33Ghz
Ram          3GB (max supported) DDR2 Ram
GPU          ATI Radeon X1200
HDD         80GB Pata Platter drive (yes it sucks as bad as you think)
Screen     1280x800 LED lit, 4-point Multi touch screen + Pen digitizer
OS           Windows 7 Professional N x64

I use this mostly for note taking, and a little sketching, and sometimes home blueprint designs since it has the nice touch screen and pen.

Lenovo T61p 2008
Processor    Intel T7700 Core2Duo OCed to 2.6Gz
Ram           4GB DDR2 Ram
GPU           Nvidia Quadro 570m (also over clocked substantially)
HDD          500GB WD Caviar Black
Screen       Laptop: 1920x1200 matte  External: Samsung t240HD 1920x1200
OS            Windows 7 Ultimate x64 / Mint 17 with Mate

This is pretty much just used as a desktop solely. It runs pretty well for most things, I play games on it, type papers, rip music and movies and such. Its old but I can at least max out Source engine games, I can play SC2 on high and play Skyrim on medium (with the distances set to mid way, closer to the high settings) Its pretty good to me other than the battery only lasting 4 hours.

Well guess I should start with what it is...  Though it's not that important to know what it is so much as how crappy it is, but oh well...  It is a Compaq Presario CQ56-201NR, aka a total piece of junk.  It may seem better than some to most, but for games, something I do a lot, it SUCKS. x_x

Anyway, it has 2 GB RAM, with one open slot (now if I only knew how to tell what type it takes and individuals it could take past that >.> ) and a crappy Intel brand video card with pretty much no visual memory to my knowledge (if it does it rarely uses it).  It has about 250 GB hard drive space, most of which is constantly used up because MUST HAVE ALL THE GAMES!   >.> -> <.<  sorry, spazzed for a second  XD ANYWAY lets see...  it doesn't have much else to say about it, really, other than im pretty sure  I have messed up the battery beyond repair :/

Also, I know this does not go here, but my "spazzed" has a misplaced line and "pretty" has like a line under 2 letters, not sure what in the heck is going on there...  But yeah, it has been with me through troubled times, including when I had to re install EVERY SINGLE DRIVER by taking it to Best Buy people, due to a single virus wiping them after crashing my computer...  So yeah! Fun.

Could've sworn I posted an update of my new computer! I would have built a desktop by now if I had the money, but my laptop died and I had to buy a new one so I could take it to class.

Model: Gigabyte U35F
Processor: Intel Core i7-4500U
RAM: 2x 8GB DDR3L
Storage: 32GB mSSD + 1TB HDD + 750GB HDD (4 slots in total, one swappable with DVD drive)
OS: Windows 8.1
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4400 + NVIDIA GeForce 750M 4GB
Display: 15.6" 1920x1080 Matte inbuilt screen (usually have it all hooked up to a monitor though)

And it is only 2.16kg and 21mm thin. :3

I built one back in Feb and been progressively upgrading even since then, thought this thread would be good to show it  ^_^

CPU: Intel i5 4690k, overclocked by moi to 4.5GHz
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A
RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance (Soon to upgrade I think)
GPU: Asus R9-290X
PSU: Corsair AX-760
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i-GTX
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO
HDD(s): 250GB Toshiba, 1TB Hitachi and a 3TB Western Digital
Chassis: Corsair 600t SE (White)
And a Liteon ihas124-b DVD burner (rarely needed, let's face it)

All running off Windows 10, which is leaps and bounds better than 8, not as good as 7 and has worrying privacy settings. Oh and forced updates suck.

I <3 Corsair & Asus XP
