RAM, CPU, HDD???

For now, I'm stuck on:
  • Celeron U3400 (onboard Graphics) - 1.07GHz dual core (officially it's 1.06 but device manager says otherwise) and
  • 2GBs RAM (no clue what speed)
  • 250GB HDD (it'll be 5200RPM)
  • Display is the inbuilt 12" 1280x800 one for now (just in case you didn't notice, it's a laptop)

Will be working stuff out to have something decent running soon.
Currently running Windows 7 because I can and because there's some things I have to for.

RAM, CPU, HDD???

My full specs are here [Link] it was way to much to put in a post, and I didn't know what to add. NOTE: I censored out my IP address, but if you find any other information that needs to be taken out, please let me know... that I saw, there wasn't anything... but, I may have missed something.

How about a simple list in regular layman's terms? Like.. list product names? XD

EDIT:
What I made out from it is something like...

- Laptop
CPU: AMD Athlon X2 QL-65
RAM: 4GB 667 MHz
GPU: Radeon HD 3200 series
Harddrive: Hitachi 320GB

GPU: Radeon HD 3200 series
Harddrive: Hitachi 320GB

I have no clue... I didn't build my comp... I bought it...

I just remembered, though, that I can get the specs off of the website... So, I am just copying off of their website...

Gatway NV52 - Laptop

Processor:
AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 dual-core processor QL-65 (2.10 GHz, 1 MB L2 cache, DDR2 667 MHz, 35 W)
 AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 dual-core processor QL-64 (2.10 GHz, 1 MB L2 cache, DDR2 667 MHz, 35 W)
 AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 dual-core processor QL-62 (2.00 GHz, 1 MB L2 cache, DDR2 667 MHz, 35 W)

Chipset: AMD M780G/SB700 Chipset

Memory: Up to 2 GB of DDR2 667 MHz memory, upgradeable to 4 GB using two soDIMM modules

Graphics (I actually know this one  XD ) :
ATI Radeon™ HD 3200 Graphics with up to 1919 MB of HyperMemory™ (256 MB of dedicated system memory, up to 1663 MB of shared system memory), supporting Unified Video Decoder (UVD), OpenEXR High Dynamic-Range (HDR) technology, Shader Model 4.0, Microsoft® DirectX® 10.0

I'm sorry... I really don't know that much about computers... I am better with Web Design, and I am a beginner with that. So, bare with me  XD

Hehe if you really want it to be quite (and cold) get a Liquid Nitrogen Liquid Cooling System ... ... Overkill yes but you know the sayings "when it comes to computers nothings overkill", and "if it's worth doing its worth overdoing"

140's and two 120's.

As for liquid nitrogen, that's cool but then you'd need to pay every time you buy another tank and it needs constant attention and quite a bit of maintenance.
I would like to try something mineral oil cooled, but that however has the disadvantage of being so hard to modify/upgrade once it's up and running that it's not necessarily worth it. Also when taking out a component it takes weeks to dry it!
Also for some clarification, I like it cool and I like it silent but I also like it requiring as little attention as possible once it's running (every once in a while removing some dust and cleaning dust filters are fine but you don't do that whilst it's running).

Really? they look bigger then that...

Yeah, I was just joking because I was talking with one of my professors and he mentioned someone had that. I personally don't trust liquid in close proximity with my electronics. Plus the liquid nitrogen system is redundant not only because its a $500 cooling system, but because you also need fans to keep it from forming condensation since it's so cold.

Speaking of dust I probably need to blow out my computer soon... *pears down at heat sink* ... yeah probably should do that...

As of one week ago today, I have moved up from that extremely shit laptop. Now I got something decent!

CPU: 3570K
GPU: GTX 470 (old but works and won't cost much if I wanna go SLI)
Mobo: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 (It doesn't have any blue on it :O)
PSU: OCZ Falal1ty 750W (Modular with red LED fan!!!!!!)
Case: CM Storm Enforcer (hmmmm.... big red fan seem like it might go with other stuff)
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X 2133Mhz 8GB (2x4GB)
SSD: Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM
Cooler: CM Hyper TX3 Evo
ODD: NONE!!!!! (might consider one in the future)

Cool part would be when I get around to the custom microcontroller controlled RGB lighting (showoff feature can wait a bit)

I was so very close to using a board that would allow 64GB of RAM, but I didn't by mere strings. Should give you quite the suitable ram disk.

Yea, I only know ramdisks from linux (frugal) systems and windows embedded (EWF function). Never thought of running windows off a ramdisk..... dont know if it will be much faster then having an enterprise class raid controller with fast disks? :?

o.O you don't run windows on a ramdisk, that's crazy talk. Because you'd have to re-install it everytime you turn the computer back on, unless you like programmer a script that will do it for you every time. Ramdisks are however significantly faster than even Solid-State PCI-Express drives.
