For the longest time, I just drew these blobby balls for hands. Like vaguely the shape of the back of the hand with the fingers curled behind it. My biggest problem is I draw the fingers too fat and there's not enough room for them all.
Hands are hard. But they're worth learning.
My art teachers have always been hardcore: Draw your hand in a strange pose without looking at the paper and without lifting the pen, in a single long stroke! Blind contour.
Doing it while looking at what you're doing is way easier after that. Even though the first few blind ones look absolutely crazy...
