Pasta Bake
« on: June 09, 2011, 09:44:23 PM »
a pasta bake is like a lasagna, but put through a blender. its a mish mash of lasagna noodles, meat and sauce. Heres my homeade recipe I made just 10 minutes ago

1 box of lasagna noodles. (wont use the whole thing)
1/2 pound container of ground beef
1 bottle of tomato sauce (subsitute with your favorite spaghetti sauce  :) )

Boil some water in a pot big enough to fit roughly half the box of lasagna and cook the lasagna until its ready to eat.
Spray a cooking skillet and cook the beef until its nice and brown. We dont want any pink stuff in the meat.
Once the meat is cooked, add the tomato sauce and stir in until it reaches the amount of sauce to meat you want. I like having more meat so I used a little.

At this point, we can add extra ingredients to our sauce if we want. I added the following.
8 slices pepper jack cheese
8 slices asiago cheese
12 slices pepperoni
some chopped onion
a dash of minced garlic
coated top with red pepper flakes like youd find at a pizza restaurant
half of a beef sausage, chopped into bite size discs

You can add what ever youd like to yours.

Once the sauce has been spiced up to your likes, we come to the hard part, cutting up the lasagna.
Drain the lasagna thouroughly in a strainer and get 2 sharp knives.
stick them both into the noodles and cut away from each other as best you can. we dont need to be perfect, but we want them in small enough peices to eat with a fork.
once the cutting is done, put them into the sauce and stir until nicely coated.

You are now ready to eat your bake. Mine is particularly delicious  :3
Id post a picture but I dont have my camera with me
