Cupcakes by Sergeant Sprinkles + the sharks from Deep Blue Sea + a sack of manure + family guy= rap.
 
Thus, rap is scary. And it stinks. And it's insulting.

Associate Family Guy with something I enjoy, and you've made an enemy of me, good sir.

And I hate throwing wood onto the argu-fire, but everything post-"Thus" comes off as "I'm intimidated by black people and things I don't understand".

(And the same three things could be said about furries.  ZING.)

Not a problem.  I just feel as though there's a line that gets crossed between "I dislike something" and "something sucks!".  Imagine if someone said..."foxes are stupid, and they suck!" instead of "I dislike foxes" or "I'm not really a fan of foxes".  Anyone who likes foxes (or considers themself one) would probably swarm on that person, wanting an explanation as to why that person hates foxes.  Unless you were savagely attacked by a rabid fox as a child, there's no GOOD reason to hate them.  Just personal taste.

Obviously you're allowed to say what you want about practically anything, but I think that gives someone just as much right to defend something.

You could always do what I did, and defend why you like some of the lesser-enjoyed genres.

I love country, as my first example, because it creates a nostalgic feeling for me. I was raised listening to it, so I don't think I could explain the enjoyment to someone who was never or very rarely exposed to it. I prefer classic country because it tends to tell more of a story, or have more than just "I shure do love my wife and goin to bars n huntin n fishin". There are modern country songs that manage to sound good, though.
Here are two examples of what I'd consider great country music. First up is a good modern song:

I also really adore rap and hip hop because you just can't beat the atmosphere created in some of the songs. That and because not all of it is GONNA BUST A CAP. Allow me to direct you to SEVERAL rap artists. Dan le Sac vs. Scroobis Pip, Aesop Rock, Atmosphere, Blue Scholars...

I'm rather fond of 80s music myself, and I don't understand why many people around my age don't like it that much.
 
Also, I'm not that fond of metal. I have sensitive ears, so the loudness doesn't really work for me.

What counts as people around your age?  Just curious.

I've never related to liking any decade of music over others.  I've known folks who loved the 90s and hated the 80s, and people who loved the 80s and weren't even born yet.  Most decades had a few decent popular bands, a few rarely-heard gems, and a lot of garbage.

I'd probably go to an 80s part just for all the girls in weird makeup and fishnets/spandex.  Don't judge me...

I agree that Family Guy is a bad comedy show, way to many racist jokes, extremely unsettling sex jokes, or just flat stupid jokes. Alot of people don't like family guy.
