@Otebon: You're the telepath, Ninetail Pokemorphs have more psychic powers due to the thousands of years of true evolvution the Pokemorphs had. I say thousands because radioactive fallout from human nukes sped up the process. (So really we're more resistant to gamma radiation)

And Ghost is available if you're up for it. It's just the whole childhood fears coming back to him thing is messing with his true nature: a fun loving, active, and caring guy.

For the most part Ghost had a really good life, except that he had no mother and only his father was there to support him. His traumatic experiences (being the only survivor of the first infection on the Ishimura and living) was a bit much for him. He'd always have nightmares and get up screaming in terror, even now. He really misses his mother, even though his only memories of her are sketchy at best. He was just a week old pup when he escaped (quadrupedal little kit, Pokemorphs are born looking like Pokemon, only difference is intelligence and the more human-like eyes) but he remembers all of it.

Olaris's main reason of hatred for the Special Forces is mostly like this. They kill like it's nothing to them, as if they made a complete sport out of it, and do not care who they strike down. Each person they killed, they have not had the same experience as he had by looking them in the eyes as they plead for help.


Olaris during the Lylat Wars knows the psychology from first hand experience. He was trapped in an area being heavily bombed and swarmed with enemy troops after being separated from his platoon when he was part of TACT, so he hid in a bomb crater for cover from shrapnel and other debris flying about. When a venomian soldier had stumbled into his crater, he quickly stabbed him twice in the chest but not fully killing him. Again he was trapped in the crater, so he had to watch and listen to the soldier weaze and cry out softly in pain as he slowly died. The fox couldn't bring himself to putting him out of his misery as the soldier begged for his life and quickly fell onto his knees, crying and cupping his ears to stop the noise to little avail. Eventually he brought himself to try and help the soldier with medical, only to watch the life fade from his eyes immediately after. Over the next few hours he read over his personal belongings realizing they could have easily been very close friends or brothers if they met under different conditions like a bar sharing drinks or a store. And the only reason they are even enemies was a uniform difference, and loyalty to men who will never meet each other in war.


And thats his story , also the Telepath could have possibly picked that up.

Ah, I get you. But really our Spec Ops just follow orders. They weren't dragged into this war, they just fight because people are starving back home and this is the best they can do about it. Trying to relocated food production because the main bread basket planets have been infected.

I always thought ghost would be more.... emotional for some reason Not enthusiastic.

You know, the bombs that can level an entire city, take up the entire screen, take over half of a boss's health out, and even destroy your own ship with it. It pretty much annihilates anything on screen.

I question whether or not we should keep you around and you yell at everyone for being dumb with ammo consumption. Fair's fair.

There's a difference between Leo and Olaris. Leo is a crazy scientist, so he is not limited by ammo. Laid back remains in the battle.


Olaris is just being Olaris. When they are finally outside of the war-zone, Sgt. Scream-a-lot leaves and his laid back side is revealed. But you can't blame him about screaming at their ammo consumption. It's kinda funny for a SpecOp to run out of ammo that quickly compared to a soldier with average training.They decided to go ahead and kill an entire legion of necros using there own ammunition, and ran out around the 1/4th point .

I don't recall in Dead Space me killing any necromorphs unless I absolutely had to because of the ridiculously  low amount of ammo the game supplied you. System Shock is the only horror game where I actually killed everything on site because you didn't have the option to.

I agree, It does seem like we are just going though our ammo like no one's business.
