The figure strode towards the pair, encircled by the snarling pack of beasts. Early morning light shimmered over the figure's chestnut fur. Her thick hips and tail swayed as she neared them, a smile playing across her lips. Imshi's eyes widened in recognition "Ellin? What are you doing?" Yenchi looked from Imshi to the otter girl, one hand gripping his knife, the other at Imshi's wrist.
"Hah! You did put up quite a fight didn't you?" Ellin walked into the center of the circle, hunting beasts parting in her wake. She drew a long blade from at her hip, unhooking the carved-bone weapon from the woven Teresa clan clothing she wore. "That tricksome girl who helped you made it all the more difficult. As such I am sorry for the wound i caused you, believe me when I say the arrow was aimed for that filthy feline who pretends to be your protector."
Yenchi watched the blade with narrowed eyes. He glanced the girl up and down as she stopped in front of Imshi, a quick glance to the side comparing the two. They were surprisingly similar in stature, though the otter girl was by far the thinner of the two. Her hair short and her woven clothing simple and plain.
"The Clan will be pleased that you have returned to them. And without that boy from the plains tribe." Ellin shot a glance to Yenchi as she moved closer to Imshi. With a sly grin she leaned close and pinched the fox just above her hip, finger and thumb sinking into soft flesh. "You always were the mothers favorite weren't you Imshi. Its not hard to see why a common tribes-boy would delude himself that a woman of your figure might feel anything for him."
Yenchi blanched and stepped towards the otter girl "How dare you-" He stopped as her blade swung up to meet him at the throat, pushing his chin up until the edge pressed to his jaw.
The otter's grin widened as she pushed him back on his toes, forcing him to shuffle away from the two of them as she gripped Imshi's unresistant arm. The pack of beasts encircled him, breaking and re-forming between him and the two girls. They slathered and snapped at his legs, eyes mad with hunger. With one last push of her blade the otter girl's smile wavered into a sad scowl "You are the reason she tried to flee the clan. You are the reason they wanted her dead... If they had sent anyone else she would have been. Can't you see that its better this way? Poor boy."
