Working at a doggy hotel seems like a fantastic work, both funny and emotional. Must be a joy having to work with those that are thankful and happy all day, that would make many feel better 


I worked at a veterinarian clinic for smaller animals. So we got alot of dogs in, and I often had to calm them down before being sedated and after they woke up, and greatful, dizzy, awakenings there was! So if one of them were confused after waking up and started whining I walked in, and just talked calmly until they settled down. It felt great

I could never work as a vet tech.
I see the ones that work where I do go through some tough choices.
I know the vet well too, and he's so emotional, he comes back to the hotel to vent.
Some of the things I have to hear...

It is fun working there,
though you get some parents where you want to physically harm them.
Like this one older couple.
Sunday they picked up.
They have a 6 mo puppy.
Dad was holding him and
CRACK!
My heart stopped and all of us where speechless as the puppy
fell out of his arms and hit our tile floor face first.
I was so disgusted at their reaction, playing it off like it was nothing.
Then not even bothering to go to the vet to see if he was ok.
Only saying "He's fine, he's back to his normal self!"

I have a lot of horror stories working there,
so its not all fun and cuddles.

Well, I have generally liked domestics over the wild animals. I chose a bully because I can identify with the breed. They are known as tricksters or clowns and are notorious for being neurotic. They are hard to train and do not do well with other dogs, and can be territorial. They also have been described as a kid in a dog suit because it's never wise to leave them alone, lest they get into something.  There are also things I feel I relate to physically with them... They have thin fur (I keep my hair short, generally styled into a mohawk, thin on the sides), can be prone to sunburn, and they tend to have a thicker build. As a bonus, who can resist my egg head, huh? \m/

 I also feel as if I hold some traits of what people consider to be the 'sterotype' for dog personalities. I can be loyal to a fault, and very loving if given the chance.


Also, Kiikii, what a cute choice for a fursona.

I have a character who I guess you could say is a fursona, Vanellope Von Schweets (Disney) infused with a Golden Retriever 

she IS anthropomorphic, just tiny because hello Vanellope Von Schweets is like 8

I made her for an Anthro contest a few months back and she's just stuck, I'm even makign a fursuit now 

I chose dog because they are just so sweet and friendly, just like the character they are meant to represent ^-^
