*He looks up at her.*
"Originally, just a kid who saved her life. However, shortly afterwards, she called me brother. And shortly after that, one of our other departed friends, Shadis, was tossed through the wall of our 'safe house'."
*he grinned weakly.*
"That's when this all started... when we decided to bring Shadis with us. A young girl was with us for a while too, but she slipped off somewhere. Hope she's alright, though."
* He absentmindedly touched the scar on his shoulder, remembering all that had happened... when he rescued Kaya and dressed her wounds, when she accidently popped the stitches on her back, when she had accepted him as her brother, when Shadis burst through the wall, when they met Roxy and the other girl, when the orcs attacked, when all of those horses had followed him around, when the four of them retrieved the sigil stone, when they rode to the ruined town, when they engaged in a battle with Envar, when he had gone berzerk and hacked Envar to pieces after the demon ate Shadis, when Shadis slashed his face and stabbed his wing, when he woke up to find the horse staring at him, when Kaya hugged him, glad that he was alive, when the three of them rode into the tower behind Oreo, when he passed out again and woke up later, when they discussed battle tactics, whne he created the plan...
The plan that had taken Kaya's life due to unforseen circumstances...
He couldn't go on. It was too painful, remembering. A tear ran down his scarred face.*
"Stupid Envar.... couldn't bear leaving without causing a final sadness. And he knew right where to hit."
*He looks up at Elizabeth.*
"Elizabeth... shortly after Kaya died, I heard her spirit. She told me to find you."
