Holy Talos, thought Lumi as she observed Lorkin daring Hunter, I didn't think I'll have to babysit an elite. Nice em-pulse, though.
"Suit, reconfigure Meissner lining, I don't want a pulse to find me in the future. And if anything, anything at all you said is even remotely true, I should be able to do nicer things than you with that will force," she said as she stuck out her hand and focused at the plasma torch built in her glove. She imagined electrons being torn from nuclei, everything moving at extreme speeds, colliding, exciting, but only an insignificant sparkling appeared. "Suit, enable neural interface. Shield it, I want to use it only with you and the elite. Record order sequence, 3 seconds, now!" she said as she concentrated even further. Her head started to ache but the sparks turned to little flames. Trim everything unassociated with the glove, save sequence! Fireball! she thought and a glowing, fiery sphere appeared above her left hand.
"This is awesome," she whispered. But so... unsophisticated... record order sequence, 3 seconds! she thought as she closed her eyes and imagined the atoms just getting out of sight. It was simpler to consider only electrons. A sphere of them. Solid ball of electrons... yes. She opened her eyes and saw that Kastor engaged Hunter and the ball was now barely visible, like a ball of hot air covered with little sparks on the surface.
"The paratrooper is back!... trim, amplify, save. Thunderstorm!" she said as she closed her hand, making the ball disappear. She picked up her tool blade from the ground and got up, making her 6-feet, quarter-tonne suit do most of the work for her.
This... magic of mine probably sucks, but it's worth a try. Suit, hermetize! she thought as she silently ran closer to the fighters. She switched the tool blade to a mace. She stuck her left hand out. Thunderstorm! she thought as a bunch of arcs coming from her hand connected with Kastor's hovering body.
