Grace rested enough. She approached the top of a large vat of molten gold and ran diagnostics, twice. She tightly closed her scales and used liquid iron to temporarily close her every vent. Lack of cooling meant she was now starting to overheat already.
"Drain the gold to the second vat as soon as I submerge," she said to the smith, and he nodded with understanding. She knew that if she misunderstood this world she will be destroyed and fail her ultimate goal. But it was the only option. She stepped forward and fell in, splashing some of the gold around.

She relaxed in her bath. The data flow from the reenabled systems was... Invigorating! she thought. "Oh yes, I feel alive!" she said with her heavy, slightly vibrating voice, "Just what I needed."
The rest of the liquid gold drained to the second vat, not filling it even in half. Grace stood there for several minutes to let all her newly restored systems complete their first starting sequences in many, many days. She jumped out of the vat and saw a pile of golden items that weren't yet melted. She picked up a gem-encrusted crown. Her metallic face bent to resemble a grin as she put it on. After a few moments its base melted and solidified, welding itself on.
"Glorious."

"This is beyond evil," Shashoh said, concealing his anger. "If this creature continues to spread those foul lies, especially so efficiently, we'll soon find ourselves not only fighting with Hunter, but also with everyone who believed them."
