The FF Cafe and Arcade! (Interest check)

Alright, just throwing this idea out here, any feedback is appreciated.

On the site I was on a while back, there were two main RP forums, the Cafe and the Park. There was no real plot to either (hence the Fun RP section.)

Effectively, you could make as many characters as you wanted (Within reason, although there were people with around twenty ) You can bring your character into the cafe at any time, and have them interact with other furs in any way that you want. Plots arcs can be made by you, events and festivals can be celebrated and friendships and relationships created between the characters you make.

Obviously this will fit in with the site rules, and there will be a few more rules to stop it getting to hectic. If the RP were to leave the cafe (E.g. two chars going to a cinema, or to one of their houses etc...) You can simply switch to PM's, or some other medium (E.g. Email, MSN, Skype etc...)

So, what do you think? Good idea or Bad?

You're probably better off just starting the RP and letting whoever wants to join in, just join in. Most Fun RPs work that way. Not much planning or setup is required.

Er, so as not to waste a perfectly good thread, do you think it would be an idea to use this one to keep everyone's character sheets in?

A separate thread for characters usually isn't necessary for Fun RPs. If character sheets need to be posted at all for them, they're usually written in with each person's first post in the thread, from what I've seen. But you can do what you like.

I can lock the thread if you decide you're done with it though.

Though, I think it's a good idea to have somewhere to keep track of peoples characters. I guess I could always move it to the serious RP section, if you think that's better suited.

It just depends on how you want to build your RP and how structured you want it to be. I'm mostly just saying that because in the Fun RP board, people have a tendency to just jump into the RPs and do what they want and leave when they want, without much direction about where to go. So most don't even bother with character information.

Serious RPs keep lists of the characters involved, and have some kind of storyline to drive the RP toward some type of eventual conclusion. How strict or generalized the storyline is can be up to you.

But like I said... It's your RP, so everything depends on what you want the RP to be and how it should play out.

Er, well for now I think we should keep it here. I do kinda like the idea of keeping the characters somewhere, but maybe you should just lock up this thread ^^;

I guess I'll play it by ear for a while, and decide whether or not it needs one later?
