I originally started making this tail for myself and then half way through decided that it had too much blue in it for my tastes and that I really wasn't the colors I wanted.

I make these tails including the fur completely by hand and it takes an incredible amount of time and effort to do.
 I believe that it is priced fairly considering the cost of materials and the amount of time it took to make.

It's not really my loss. And I have to say I'm quite insulted that you feel 25 hours of my time is only worth 40$
There are people out there that are willing to pay a fair price for quality tails.

And I guarantee you'd be hard pressed to find a tail maker that would sell you a tail even a pre made one for 40$ unless it was a really really small one.

Please remain respectful of an artist's right to set their own price on their work.

It's how artists make a living. Making an offer is acceptable, but if they refuse, leave it at that. It's rude to tell them they don't deserve what they're asking for, no matter how low or high the price is.
