Rick uncovered his eyes and nodded at Cassandra. "Sorry about that. I couldn't really tell, since you're up to your neck in there."
He turned back to Wolf. "So... unnamed... guy..."

Danny went to work on the fire, piling the wood nearby before heading to the entrance again.  "I'll go look for roots that survived."

[Cifero Windtail]

"Okay then," Rick said, watching as she left. "Take care of yourself out there, and yell if you need us."
He turned back to the wolf. "So as I was saying... um... you know, it would be a lot easier talking to you if I knew your real name..."

[Kaya]

danny wait! im comming with you! *cassandra hops out of the springs and shakes off quickly the water left on her starts to evaporate into a steam. she heads out after danny*

Danny smiled and waited before heading out, weaving slowly through the trees.  Buildings loomed in the distance, crumbling.  The air grew more and more acrid the closer she got to it, making her breathing hoarse.

[Kaya]

you should be taking it easy. your breathing doesn't sound to good... *cassandra looks over at danny worried.*

Danny smiled lightly.  "Don't worry about me.  I'm more concerned about you in this smog," she said, coughing.  They came across an old road, cracked and strewn with abandoned cars.  "I wish someone knew something of mechanics.  The parts are still worth something."

[Kaya]

use this please... *Cassandra pulls out a damp cloth.* put it over your face.. it should help a little.. *cassandra ties her own around her nose and mouth* And that would be great if we had a mechanic. then we could get everywhere faster by using the cars..

Danny took it gratefully, copying Kaya.  "Yeah...  Maybe there's something in them we could use?"

[Kaya]

ya lets look. *cassandra and danny begin looking in the abandoned cars for anything useful.*

There was very little of interest in the various vehicles, already picked clean by other scavengers.  Out of ten or so cars, all they could find of any value were three pocket knives, a bundle of clothing that could be tailored, and an old winter coat, half eaten by mice.
 
Danny walked to the next car, a yellow hummer.  Something looked to have been painted on the back window, but had washed off partially from the rain.  Before she was able to get it open, an electric shock ran up her spine.  She screamed in agony, slipping to the ground, partially paralyzed.

( i am thinking zombieland... but thats prob wrong.....) Cassandra hurries over to danny. "Danny! What happened?!"

She was laying on the ground, shaking.  Behind Kaya, several hunters, furry and human alike, were rushing in with stunners in hand.  Several of them were gearing to fire at Kaya.  One was sparking with energy.

[Kaya]

hehe >:# TWINKIE!!!!! ) CAssandra lays back her ears and growls, she thinks of fire and a large black fire orb forms in her hand. She doesnt even get a chance to form it completely. One of the others hits her with the stun gun and she falls Yelping.*

*Still back in the cave* "Nay, the knights are all like me, chiverous and willing to lay down their lives to help others. Any My Name is Sir Zackary Vann by the way, please to make you aquiantance." *I shake Rick's paw.*
 
[For the sake of clarity, lets say that this happened before the two left the cave. After you two left, Rick and I cooked all of the venison, preserved it, packed it up, and traveled on our way. We followed Cassandra's and Danny's paw prints for a while. When the attack happens, we are not far away. Now, continueing on from when the attack commences]
 
*I stop suddenly, sniffing the air.* "Rick, do you smell that? Electric stun guns... E series, favored by..." *My eyes widen as a let out a fearful howl. I draw my sword in my right paw and a rune on my left paw's glove, just within the palm, begins to glow red. I take off at an exceedinly fast pace towards the commotion, ignoring the great weight of the venison and supplies Im carrying.*
