Rick looked at the fox for a second, then looked at Slit.
"I'm not quite sure what a "Raven" is," he replied, "But I'm sure that Anubis had NOTHING to do with it... especially since he's against evil..."
Rick held out his hand towards the fox. "Leave him alone... he's not yours to fight..."
Just then, Slit took advantage of the distraction. He took ahold of Rick and rushed towards the nearest window.
The frill and the cat crashed through the window and hit the ground one story below.
Slit got up first and drew one of his knives.
"You are one weird dude," he said, backing away. "Perhaps a few knives will fix your mind..."
"Not so fast, Slit. Let me handle him."
Rick's eyes widened, then transitioned to a glare. For before him was another familiar figure.
"Go ahead, Xurk," Slit said, letting the broad-shouldered dreadlocked human past him. He grinned at Rick. "It was an interesting time, little friend. So long." With that, he slipped away.
Xurk grinned widely, drew out a needle, and plunged it into his wrist. "Now," he said, "you will see what TRUE strength looks like!"
Rick braced himself, bristling with anger.
"Bring it."
(tangletail... LEAVE SLIT ALONE! I'm the only one allowed to kill him.)
