Danny's eyes started to get heavy, her vision blurring.  Fukey laid a blanket over her to help warm her a bit, scratching her ears.  "Don't worry kiddo.  We'll just make you stronger.  I promise you'll feel no pain."
 
She turned to Alen and the others.  "Get the serums and scalpels ready."

"Yes, ma'am," one of the interns said. Then whispering, they added. "And then you can shove it up your rear."

Suddenly, Slit stepped from the shadows and pinned Alen to the wall.
"The boss has given orders... this one shall not be altered as of yet," he hissed, his tongue flicking in and out as he talked. "And also, the others are being led here as we speak. You are to prepare the other girl for immediate execution." The frill flicked out a knife and held it up to Alen's face.  "Unless, of course, you would rather lose one of your senses."

Fukey growled.  "Boss says we're to make this one stronger.  Who are you going to?"

(Dude, seriously, don't kill Cassandra. I would prefer not to have to commit genocide. And besides... I'M the character who died. It says "And one will die." That's ME. I've already died, then I came back. Cassandra appears to be the one who  "turned her back". If she dies, the entire first post on the Companion board won't make sense!)

Slit grinned at Fukey.

(The who isn't set in stone Cif.  Though there's a pretty good idea of who is what, it follows the events of the story.  Besides.  Who's to say that every person shall fulfill their role at the END of the story?)

(Wait. Could we possibly... FAKE her death? Just to tick somebody off and try to make them  go total vengeance beyond all reason? That would be more devious.)
Slit grinned. "You're in a bad position to be making statments, Alen," he said. "And also, your boss doesn't mean crap. The real leader is situated... elsewhere. He just controls your boss's will, and... oh wait, I forgot. He said to FAKE the other girl's execution. It's this big master plan that he's got built up."
