*I smile, then return to processing the deer. After a good ten-twenty minutes or so, we have the meat, hide, tendons, and wnything else of use all searated and ready to pacagaing or use.*

[Kaya]

*what shall we do now that the others are out looking for wood?

[Shadis]

"Well, while we wait, I could try to teach you a few helpful aspects of Sed. Its not magic so much as a way of controling magic, so you body would take it very well. Im jsut trying to think of ways to help you. I want to undo the wrong that was done to you. Its like I can't not help people sometimes."

[Kaya]

not if its a hindrance to you.... but i am interested in learning...

"It is not at all. In fact, I promised that I would continue these teachings to others so that more may know. But I must be selective as to who gets to learn Sed. I believe you are deserving enough, though. Now, watch what I do." *I scratch a simple rune design in the ground with my knife. I place my right paw over it. they both glow green for a moment, I then remove my hand. and then the room we are in is suddenly illuminated green, in every inch, nook, and cranny. A faint, hollow musical note can be heard in the air for a brief second.* "Do you see that? I have drawn a simple illumination rune on the ground, then channeled the magical essence of the Mystical Northern Lights into it. The rune then commands the essence to work in a certain way, and so it does. It takes most students many years of study and meditation before they can channel the essence of the Northern Lights, or anything really. But you can already conjure up magic to use. However, you use it in a deadly form. by wielding magic raw like you do, you cause great havok on your body and mind. Were you to channel the essence into a rune, a great deal less energy would be used any you will have a great amount of energy left over. If you feel you are up to it, then please try mimicing this rune with your own knife. Be sure to copy it closely or else your could cause untold havok to yourself and others."

"Yeah, that's a good thing," Rick said as he used his knife to cut a fallen lib into more manuverable segments. "So... why are the hunters after you and your friend?"
 
Danny glanced up.  "You mean Kaya?  I don't know.  I was an experiment though.  They wanted to see what qualities would be good to survive here."  She walked to one of the trees.  "Course, having me escape didn't help."

[Cifero Windtail]

Rick looked up in alarm.
"Someone EXPERIMENTED on you guys?" he exclaimed. "What kind of sick person would do that?"

"If I knew, I'd tell you.  I could certainly tell who it was though.  High ranking humans and furries," she said, arms full.

Cassandra nods and makes a duplicate of the rune that Zack drew. "mm now its the magic part i'm not so sure about.. i only really know how to do fire well. I wasn't taught anything else...." She smiles sheepishly.

*I eye the rune, then turn to Kaya* "Very good. This rune is sufficient. Try to remember what it looks like. If you successfully do this, you should increase your knowledge of runes as much as you can. The more runes you know, the more you can do. And thats ok, just the fact that you can summon fire without a rune speaks volumes about your ability. Just strech your paw over the rune and close you eyes. channel the energy you normally use to make your shadow fire into your arm, down your arm into you fingers, then out of your fingers and into the rune. Summon just a minute amount of energy. an amout so small that normally no fire would be created. Once you succesfully get it into the rune, the rune will do the rest." *I place Cassandra's paw over the rune and then place my own paw over my rune. I think for a second, then my illumination rune stops glowing green. the room dies back down into its dark, natural color. A quick music note is heard in the wind.* "Ok Miss Cassandra, just close your eyes, stay calm, and channel your energy into the rune."
*Cassandra does as she is instructed and, to her surprise, the rune begins to glow dark purple. A more darker and haunting musical note is heard in the air, and then the cave is illuminated a deep but bright enough purple. She also doesn't feel very tired at all.*
*I smile* "Your a natural Cassandra! Amazingly done! I am also intreged that the light is purple with you. Normally the color is green... But well done never the less!"
 

[Kaya]

*she looks suprised.* Its really soposto be green? *she sits and starts absently flicking her firs finger and thumb and when she does the light thrums and it seems that there is deep purple fur starting to show up in Cassandras fur.* So i did good?

[Shadis]

*Looking impressed* "Quiet good! I am impressed! I think its purple because you draw power from a different source, not from the northern lights as I do. Take pride in this Cassandra, you have a custom gift that I will help you with, if you accept my teachings. I am but a student in Sed, but I know a suffinient amount of runes, as my armour suggest. I will teach you them, If you wish. these runes will make you quiet a formittable force to be reconded with, should we be attacked again."

[Kaya]

*she stpos flicking her fingers and rubs her head. As soon as she dose the light dies and she feels a tad lightheaded. * That is very generous of you.

[Shadis]

"Why thank you, but only if YOU want it. To force knowledge on someone defeats the purpose of knowledge."
