Everyone's been talking a lot about tails lately, so here's a general thread for discussing tails, wearing tails, and such

I'm trying to decide if I want a tail that just hangs, or a tail with wire it so I can position it, the wire seems more life like to me but might get in the way sometimes, or look weird if I accidentally sit on it x.x

mine just hangs out, that makes it a lot more comfy because then I can twist it when I'm sitting down or getting in my car

I see... I just hear a lot of gruff about the hanging tails being odd cause they just dangle and stuff.
 
Now to wait for Japan to make a tail that works off your brain waves...if it doesn't already exist that is.

I actually prefer the ones that hang. for me it's just about the comfort of wearing a tail, not making it look life-like. maybe I'll go for that when I actually get around to commissioning one

They have made ears that perk with brainwaves so that if you're surprised or happy or angry, they move and flutter and what not. Tails are in the making, and some are also moving based on movement with a wire system.

technology is still in it's infancy though. seems like a lotta money for nothing

Yes I did see the ears, made by neurowear I believe. Only problem was the bulkyness and the head gear on them but they looked pretty awesome.

I love it so much I gave my demon-sona a simular tail (but not exact, of course).

But, alas, it would be very difficult to make a functioning Alien tail without it being bulky or space consuming.

Fuzzy like the tail~ heheh. I'm sure it feels somewhat like when I wear my ears...which I need a new pair anyway, but my current ones will do for the time being.
 
Oh and non furry tails are fine too, I don't see anything wrong with them. Cool tail btw~

fuzzeh tails are really fun! sometimes you can sleep with them attached to your pajamas
