Emotional poetry
« on: November 01, 2011, 03:17:49 AM »

Why do we bother
with that emotion called Love
L-O-V-E
That word is like acid to the skin
It burns hole and they never heal

Please someone tell me the point of love
and why I shouldn't just give up on everything
Dating...
Love...
Relationships....

Just...Tell me why.

This is a good form of a more free-form verse different from traditional poetry; the line breaks well compliment the form of your stanzas. I also like the way you are very explicit about your feelings in this poem.

However, this last point could be better demonstrated and communicated by providing a metaphor or some sensory example of these feelings.

Good stuff; hope you'll post more!

Today, is a good day
The sun is out
The snow is gone

All alone today
No girlfriend
No friends
and you know what

That's fine with me

I'm kinda dark, I wrote these when I was very depressed.

Twisted perception,
Manifested guilt,
Common misconception,
Of a heirarchy once built.

Society corrupted,
Fermenting with lies,
Grace interrupted,
No-one hears my cries.

Shadows forever haunting,
Opposition forever daunting,
Paranoia forever wanting,
To take over my mind.

Enemies constantly over-seeing,
Consulting, agreeing,
My end is always nearing,
To the abyss, I'm eternally blind.

Risen through the ages,
To be crushed by the new,
Going through the stages,
Path forward squinted askew.

The embrace of life is snatched away,
One single movement, ends it all.
On this earth, I will not stay
Unto Death, I answer my call

As I lie there,
Beaten by my fears,
Society resumes,
It's attack for years.
The sun.

Slowly to dusk the orb will fall,
Stealing it's light back from all,
giving in to internal will,
sinking down with a final chill.

Corruptive shadows begin to flicker,
