Nice backstory drop there Daryl. I'm not going to forbid it as it's kinda fun, but try to ask before you post something that ties to someone else's backstory.

Technically, we've all trained together.


Specific events are well... individualized. I'm personally okay with with the story you've presented, but if you were to do that in another RP, with another author, they may get very upset. Upset enough to exspell you from the story.


Just want to warn you and tell you that dictating someone's backstory without the slightest bit of warning is a form of powerplaying. It's just strange that you are powerplaying the past.

I'm the author and the premise of the entire story is that you are a member of a society. By definition, your past has to tie in with everyone else's past that is associated with the organization. I'm sorry if this sounds condescending or didactic, but I'm trying to make you understand.


By joining the RP, you kind of agreed that you are giving me permission to dictate a small amount of your character's back story. No RP has any character that hasn't had their back story changed in some small part by the RP. For example, I have actually submitted Otebon for an RP and changed his back story to fit the idea of the RP Surge.


Powerplaying is wrong. Please stop. If you have any more comments or want to discuss this, please do it through PM with me.

I guess what I'm saying is that you have one post before we are on our way with Roland. If you want to fight about who's sitting n the wagon, know that Varen plans to walk.


Also, if you can't post for a few days because of Christmas, don't worry about it. Just post when you can and we will continue with posting order when it happens.
